No, I'm sorry. When I posted a thread where someone said "Questions about Cam Newton are based on accuracy, not racism", I didn't expect it to turn into "Was the Holocaust or American Slavery worse?"

what kind of fuging stupid debate is that even

it's not even racism, it's... gah

Speaking of which, I'm watching the SportsCenter: On The Clock special right now, here's a run down.

Suzy Kolber asked what the Top 5 should do, not what they will do.

Kiper - Carolina should take AJ Green, because he offers excitement, and another weapon for Clausen to throw to.

McShay - Carolina should take Dareus, because of the glaring need at DT that's been there for a while.

Wiley - Carolina should take Nick Fairley, because it took Dareus two years to do what Nick Fairley did in one. (whatever that means)

So much for consensus.

I'll take the word of a guy like Warren Moon who's actually played QB in the NFL and lived thru the experience vs. a guy like Jerry Rice who never played with one in the NFL. Respect his opinion, but he's in a dream world if he doesnt think the identity of a QB doesnt play into his perception. The QB position is basically the tool the NFL uses to market the game to certain fans. Change that dynamic, and the NFL is basically the NBA.

Jesus Christ.

Jerry Rice? Well, I'll raise you a Nick Saban and another HOF QB John Elway...

Saban says AU 'would've won 4 games without Newton'

According to The National Football Post, Denver Broncos vice president John Elway recently asked Nick Saban for his thoughts on Cam Newton. According to Elway, Saban had some pretty high praise for the Heisman winner.

“One of the interesting things is we went down and saw Nick Saban when we were down at Alabama’s Pro Day, and we’re talking about obviously all his players and then asked him about Cam, and he said that team would not have won four games if it wasn’t for Cam Newton,” Elway said. “That tells you how much of a special player he is.”

I really don't think you know what a hitch or a streak is. Please tell me what a hitch is and what a streak is because the way you use those terms is completely wrong.

Oh, so we're going to play football 101?

A hitch means you're running out, then turning back to the line of scrimmage to get the defender behind you for a short to mid gain.

And that's what the cat in the video did.

He really didn't know that Cam Newton caught the ball and you can tell by his post. He says no one else could make a play on it but "his man" referring to Cam's receiver. He is so bad at watching football he doesn't know that the player he loves was actually the WR. Does anyone trust his judgment on anything now?

JFC... they didn't even show who threw the ball... so why would I assume it was from Newton?

You idiots totally took my comment out of context. "His man" was Cam. It's not my fault you morons can't see how I was making a point about accurate passing vs. good receiving. SHEESH.

You simply have a lower expectation of accurate. You think if it's complete it's accurate and maybe in pop warner that works but not with the big boys. His accuracy is not very good and the "HIGHLIGHT" tape shows it.

Accurate means you put the ball where your receiver can catch it, and the defender can't intercept it.

The play has to be made by both the QB and the receiver. If the receiver's route is disrupted, the QB has to make a timing adjustment to complete the pass.

That's why stats are important. If your receivers are mediocre, like Newton's were... and they are still making plays... the QB is holding up the completions with his accuraccy.

{edit: I edited the rebuttal post to CLARIFY what I was trying to say, since you bitches want to make assumptions}
