From "Slavery" to "Gestapo"

If Toomer is that upset with the league's personal conduct policy then he might want to give Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers) among other NFL players who were the ones who originally asked the commish to install a program a call because they were the ones who gave him permission to install these measures because they were sick and tired of a few players making most look bad.

The gestapo really isn't a bad analogy to the way the NFL has been seeking out and punishing offenders. In the eyes of the league players are guilty by media perception compared to the court of law. They have been overly aggressive in many cases in ways that most people would say isn't very "American". But it goes right back to my original point, this is what the players wanted.

I think people who fail to contribute a shred of intelligence but attack others to elevate their self-esteem must be dealing with some pretty severe issues. In this case, I would speculate that our thread sniper was gang raped by uncles at a recent family reunion. It would explain the sceen name.

I'm not especially concerned with whether Toomer knows his WWII history. He's trying to convey a particular image with this comparison, and I'd say the comparison's a tad overblown.

Again, how hard is it to just not get arrested/use steroids/use drugs/whatever. Spielman phrased it as "we're not asking you to live like monks; just don't get arrested".

Actually a few weeks ago the Catholic Church officially declared that the Jews did not kill Jesus, stating it was Rome all along.

Also the leaders of the Gestapo hated the Brown shirts (SA) and when Himmler and the Gestapo eventually won out the Brown Shirts lost all control.. I think Rodger Goodell's influence extends much farther then a simple group of lower class German paramilitaries, which dissolved into the SS before the glory days of the Third Reich even truly began.
