1 week out from draft, a fearless prediction

I agree with this. I don't think he wants to piss his boss off. JR publicly states he is not enthralled with Cam Newton.. and Hurney completely disregards his boss and drafts him anyway... I just can't see it.

Oh no! A theory that doesn't have Cam coming to Carolina!

I'm too emotionally invested in Cam for that to happen!

Surely the OP is trolling!

After all, Cam wun da Heizman!

*strikes heisman pose*

Oh no! Another hating troll that spews some BS about cam instead of actually contributing to the thread. Good work!

And exactly when did this occur? There was one whisper on the CBS site, you got anything else?

No?

They don't trade down because there is no one that will give up that much to trade up. If Newton is not that great no one will pay a king's ransom for him.

People saying we will trade just hope we do because they don't want Newton or think he is worth the 1st pick. I think we will keep it and spend it on offense. Why? because JR said he is going to fix the offense and I expect he told Hurney to do it. Richardson told the fans that we would do everything we can to fix the offense and win. Drafting Newton or Gabbert would go a long way to show fans he is serious. JR sits on the negotiations and knows they are going to drag on and free agency is not around the corner, so the draft will have to do.
