If that were the case do you know how much it would cost to move up?? Bidding with every other QB hungry team in the NFL including likely Dallas and/or Washington??

Would depend a lot on where we're at.

If we finish with say, the 20th pick in the draft, likely no chance.

If we finish with another top five pick (sadly, a legitimate possibility) then it might not be so tough.

It may be possible, but it's highly unlikely, and it's sure as hell not something you should expect to happen. If Luck plays like people expect this season, even teams who already have a good QB won't pass on him, and even if they did, they would be asking for a boat load of picks to trade down.

I'd agree it's unlikely, but definitely not "unpossible" :sosp:

But if Luck plays like people expect this season, then he'll win the heisman and then be DOOMED in the NFL....

I kinda doubt Luck has as much success next year. To much transition on the team.

He might still play great (and probably will) but I have a hard time buying the team will achieve similar success .

Either Luck or Harbaugh will be exposed next year. My money is on Harbaugh.

I don't want to suck and get Luck, but looking at the labor situation, the fact that we have a completely new regime and have to install everything AND have a tough schedule I think we'll be in the running for Luck again next year.

I'd rather see a glimmer of hope, but I really think the CBA crap is going to drag on and we'll be installing new systems into the season without any or much off season practice.

Yep...schedule toughness...late start on play installations. Face it. We're going to suck. I don't wish it, but we are...unless we do draft a QB that magically turns things around and has the ability to learn an NFL system in a shortened period of time due to labor shortage with no distractions whatsoever...I believe we'll be drafting in the top 10 again next year.

I'm a pessimist, but I'm a fan first. I learned long ago not to put too much expectations on the Panthers.

hoping for the opportunity to draft Andrew Luck next year. Thanks for wishing the Panthers would have the worst record in the NFL for a second straight season.

Go find another team to cheer for.... You won't be missed.

So you agree that clearly Luck will be worth the number one pick in any year, right?

Why doesn't anyone bring up the fact that Luck could turn into a Huge bust. But in every thread talking about Newton or Gabbert it is mentioned every other post. Seriously.

To all the Luck fans. What if we tanked 2 years in a row, Got Luck, and he turned into the biggest bust of all time. What do you do? Wait I think I have heard this story in every Newton and Gabbert thread. We would be screwed for years to come because we wasted all that money on a #1 pick and won't be able to draft another QB.

Get real guys.
