Gruden vs King

I don't think this even matters. This guy sounds like he's seeking attention.

We all should know Gruden is no qb evaluater phenomenon. It's just a tv segment. Personally I like watching him as a football analyst. Doesn't mean i got amnesia regarding his coaching history.

Shaun King was never a good quarterback, I don't know how you can pin that on Jon Gruden. He couldn't "develop" under Dennis Green either in AZ.

EDIT: He basically was a glorified game manager under Tony Dungy also.

I just find it hard to believe that you don't see how there could be a connection made with this article and Newton.

Newton appears to be on the top of our board (whether you want him or not, it does appear he is the leading candidate as of now) and he is also featured on Gruden's QBC. King comes out and discredits Gruden and bashes his camp. Connection made.

Using this logic...

Cam Newton wears number two. David Akers, the kicker for the Eagles also wears number two. If, therefore, I point out that the Panthers once had Akers in camp and then cut him, I'm suggesting the Panthers will let go of Cam Newton :rolleyes:

Again, his opinion on Newton has zero impact on Gruden's credibility has zero impact until we know whether it was correct or not. At this point, we don't know. Therefore, only quarterbacks with pro careers associated with Gruden matter to the discussion. That means Newton does not.

Throw in that Newton isn't the only guy that's appeared on Gruden's QB camp. He's evaluated others, and said both good and bad. So am I trying to knock his opinion on them too?

But it just seems like he has nice things to say about nearly everyone. I think he has a great football mind, but you just don't see him negative comments very often.

You're against drafting a QB #1 overall (aka, a Cam Hater).

Gruden said we should take Cam.

You start a thread posting where someone says Gruden has no credibility, and the show's premise is invalid.

You suggestively ask if/declare that he has no credibility.

Don't you understand? The media is full of haters. PFT only posted this story to discredit Gruden. It was because they know that the man, that is, JR, does not want a winning quarterback. They want us to be mediocre forever - just like JR.
