Gruden vs King

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Well that and the fact that you guys are so new and have practically ruined this board.

Anyone who doesn't believe every idiotic word you guys type is a hater or a troll. This place used to be great. YOU are part of the reason it's falling off.

whoa, I didnt even type that poo you qouted. You're killing me with this youre the new guy poo grow the fug up. You joined in 2009 in January so who's bandwagon did you jump on, since the site has been around forever and the new members just discovered the Panthers:rolleyes:.

MrScot I apologize I really thought you had enough smarts to know what kind of reaction your thread would cause but I was wrong and you're too dumb to find a connection between the article and Newton. Its just a coincidence of timing and seemed like the usual bullpoo threads you post. My sincere apology. One question is CHef17 really you trying to be the double agent or is he a scot hugger.

Actually, it was (mine, that is) :D

And I'd wager it'd be a lot easier to find positive things I've said about Newton than it would any admission on your part that he might not be the best thing since sliced bread.

Like I said, you guys have done more damage to yourselves in this thread than I could have ever done (had I been trying)

If calling something like it is, is damaging on my part, then so be it. Like I've said to you and your fellow anti-QB (anti-Cam) club, I'd rather be right and not liked than wrong and everyone's buddy.

Your whole premise we need to keep our current stable of QBs, that maybe any of them could one day be championship winning, franchise caliber QB, and a "Stop Gap" is the answer, follows the classic definition of insanity to me (you know, doing the same thing repeatedly, and expecting different results). When John Fox got here, Delhomme became a multi-year stop gap, and we rested on our laurels. We need to go in a completely different direction. We NEED a franshise QB. You've never given a solid "Football reason" that QB can't be Newton. None of the haters have.

Again point me to my insults??? Can't find them

You are o-3 so far on your own accusations of me. You worry about insults, meanwhile you call people "sport" which is an insult in its own right... so show me where I looked foolish again.

Heck I even said that this thread wasn't designed to undermine Gruden so I was defending you at one point.

As you wish...

If this is the case then ncmonzta's point was made, "What does it have to do with the Panthers"?? Shouldn't it be in the NFL football central message board instead??

The "point" being that I was stupid and trolling...

Sort of like when Fox News says "Some critics say..." It is a method MSNBC or Fox uses all the time to undermine credibility or provide a counterpoint to a point that is counter to their own mission without saying so yourself. That way they can say "I didn't say that I simply posed the question.." Yet at the same time it is so transparent it is laughable.

Accusing me of the very thing you claim not to be accusing me of...

I didn't even agree the ncmontza on this to be honest. Until you actually started talking about it. Now I think he might have been right.

Reiterating the prior point...

I posted that I didn't necessarily agree with ncmontza. And I try to be reasonable but Haters make it nearly impossible. :cuss:

Blaming it on "the haters"...

Maybe weakest response to date Scot. "Here is a link to my boyfriend's website, check it out." Not sure all those bullet points you just laid out were in there.

Childish and immature response...

But when you bring yourself down to the level of calling people "sport" when you are factually inaccurate and use a list of things you don't agree with but can't produce more than 1 thread you have created to show your objectivity. You fail.

Again, trying to suggest I've got a personal bias...

So because I defend him somehow that means I am not objective?? Goes back to why you guys sound so hypocritical.

Now throwing hypocrisy in...

Now just add the ones sucking Narwocki's d*ck after he slammed Cam, and your racism quiz.

Even more childish than the prior one...

Yet you still think I am no older than 22. And then you wonder why no one takes you seriously? You sound like a fugging idiot that is why.

Not a response to me, but an insult nonetheless (and responding "he started it" won't make it sound any more mature)

For the record, some of the stuff you've said here would actually be reportable by board rules, but I haven't done so. And that's just in this thread.

So...still want to try and say that you haven't gotten personal in the discussion?

Yeah, you can work at a car dealership in high school. Real estate is pretty easy to get into if you pass a test and do 2000 hours of some bullpoo apprenticeship, and you can get a house with 3.5% down which isn't that much, especially where you are.

Also, I don't know if any of what you say is true. It's not hard to lie on the internet, watch I'll do it right now:

Cam Newton is a good QB.

See, that is false but it appears to be true because I said it.

That second part is more up to the standard a hero should hold himself to. ;)

It is possible, but not likely.

Well heck, I apologize for not anticipating how paranoid and obsessive some of the respondents on here could be

And trust me pal, I'm extremely comfortable that I haven't made myself look dumb in this thread. Wouldn't be if I were you though :nonod:

You know a 21 year old person with a real estate license, worked at a car dealership, AND has bought a house and lived in it long enough to refinance it. And that is just from what TRD KNOWS about me.

I dont know anyone over 21 who would brag about getting a real estate license, selling cars, or gambling online....therefore I dont really believe the house thing. Thats what my friends were doing at 21.

I figured you for a smart 17, especially with the Newton and gif posting obsession

You've pretty much made yourself look dumb through this whole pre-draft Mr. Scot.

Blindly stating that no QB is worthy of going #1 overall in this draft flies in the face of common sense given the fact we have the #1 pick overall, and we had the worst QB play in franchise history last year., and also the fact that the QB is probably one of the most important positions in the current ruleset of the NFL.

Not a clue...

Nobody wants to go with our current rotation of QBs. We just disagree that any of the guys available in the draft are 'franchise QBs". And plenty of football reasons have been given in loads of threads. Your default response, rather than actually debating them, is just to scream "hater" or "racist". That makes one of us look bad, but it ain't me (Hint: It's you).

What we want is to get a veteran that could be a stopgap via free agency or maybe better via trade. Among the popular options: David Garrard. You might want to consider that fact the next time you go screaming racism.

Bottom Line: Yes, we need a franchise QB, but a lot of us think the guys in the draft don't fit that bill. And taking that position does not equal "hate" no matter how much you try and spin it.

I did insult TRD but that has been going on both ways for a while now.

The rest of those aren't even insults. Saying you are being hypocritical when you are making a point isn't an insult. Claiming you are biased isn't an insult. That is called debate, and I back those up with examples of those transgressions.

Please, please, please report me for those "insults"

are you trying to piss me off or are you really this dumb? Youre good at trying to sound smart while making no damn sense Ill give that. How can you say you dont look stupid when add these factors:

you love posting anti cam articles

you like baiting people with a new form of ignorance i never witnessed from an adult

Cam Newton just featured on the "show"

every other article here with gruden's name has something to do with newton

the day after the show this article shows up and GRuden's name is in the news for talking about Newton

and you still didnt expect Newtons name to come up x6kmdv.jpg

So then, no one with any credibility is saying that these guys shouldn't go number one, or has said that they aren't even good enough to go in the first round, right?

Sure you want to stick by that idea?

Lol how exactly am I a double agent?

Apparently you're my alter ego.

(it's getting pretty silly on the other side here)

    • I don't really like the phrase, "moral victory". I get what's meant by it, but does that mean that if you do the opposite (play poorly but win) it's an immoral victory? 🤔
    • I blame Evero because he is overrated. Vance Joseph created the defense in Denver that he took credit for. Wilks ran the ball down his throat and Darnold had a 103.8 rtg.  Last year we were decent in yards allowed, and horrible in everything else. Only reason? We kept giving up good field position.  He's had his choice of players to bring in since his scheme is so "complicated." Maybe he should stop trying to be so fancy like running Cover 4 on 3rd and 1 earlier and focus on fundamentals like tackling. These years of Eric Washington, Phil Snow, and Evero must have gotten you confused on what a real defense looked like. Go back and watch the McDermott and Wilks years- this dude is sofT.
    • I tried to make it a point in the opening post that I don't think the offense is a finished product. I think we still need more talent at WR, better play calling, catch more consistently, elimate ridiculous penalties,  and be more consistency in scoring points. I'm just saying, they look markedly better than last year imo. They have scored 20 or more in 6 games and 30 or more in 2 games. And that's particularly notable considering they only mustered 10 points and 3 points in first 2 games of this year and they got blanked on 0 points two games in a row to wrap up last season . I'd say that's a market improvement.  I'm not crowning them and saying we have a top 10 offense or anything.  I'm comparing them to themselves in recent history.
