What will Newton's Madden Ratings be?

I'll say a 77-79 overall with a THP in the 94ish range, accuracy in the seventies, awareness will be in the mid sixties. Speed will be around 85, agility around 89, str around 78-80....

Until the Panthers get 1/2 decent QB play I wont be buying another edition of Madden :cool: I pretty much only play the Panthers online and having zero passing game on there has sucked just as bad as in real life :ack2:

Clausen is pretty badass in Madden 11, he's an "A" potential prospect and after a season or two of starts he's one of the best QB's in the league... if only this were reality.

the first pick in the draft will not be 76 overall lol. again clausen was 74 picked in the second. you mean to tell me hes going to only be 2 points better? again his speed and throwing power will likely skew his overall to around 78-80

You forget that Clausen was projected as a Top 10 pick, maybe even Top 5. So yes, I am telling you he will be 2 points higher than Clausen, which is extremely generous.

Ya I did this and same thing. Based on madden ratings panthers are going to the playoffs next season even without any draft picks!

But yes, Newton will come in around 75-80.

AE was rated 61 as a WR, but when I used him in the slot he did really well. He had trouble holding onto catches when he got slammed, but he is blazing fast.

Newton will make the team much funner to use. If you get rid of lafell and use Smith, Gettis, AE, and Clowney you have a bunch of speed. Together with Dwill in the backfield or lined up as a WR, AND Newton, basically the whole offense has speed over 85ish, with everyone but Newton and Shockey having speed over 90.

That looks pretty nice to me. With Clausen you can't really run n gun, which at this point that is what the Panthers offense looks to be turning into. The running game is still solid, although with using Shockey I think it doesn't do quite as well.

I can't wait to rip it up with Newton and the Panthers in madden 12

Yeah CatMan72 i the nail on the head with bout Clausen in Madden 11. I wanted to trade or release him in my Franchise but his potential and rating was too good for me to let go. So I keep him as the starter b/c the draft picks I got wasn't better than him. Too bad he's not that good for real. Newton should be rated higher than Clausen and add need mobiity at the QB position.

Rookies never get high ratings. A big factor in QB overall is awareness/accuracy and all rookie QB's almost always start with very low awareness and accuracy.

Plus, no way his speed is 88. Vick's is 90 or something and he's way faster than Newton. He'll probably be around 71 overall with 83'ish speed.

Vick might be faster, but not by much. Cam Newton is more of an athletic freak than Vick.

1. Vick ran a 4.33, Cam ran a 4.56. That's the difference between Chris Johnson (4.24) and Greg Olsen, (4.47) huge difference.

2. Vick is also the superior athlete. What makes Cam more intriguing than Vick is his size, not his athleticism.

Look at it this way, people who doubted Vick said he should switch to WR. (Some) People who doubt Cam think he should move to TE.

Also about the difference between him and The Golden Calf of Bristol (ran a 4.75) and yet he was rated with 79 speed and had success on the ground. I would bet Newton has about 85 spd 95 THP 79 SAC 78 MAC 85 DAC and be somewhere in the 79-81 overall range. They always weight were a guy is selected into there ratings.
