What will Newton's Madden Ratings be?

Well Newton is ranked #16 on the big board. So he will probably have a 70-75 rating, and Clausen will get bumped down to about a 65.

Those are the most recent QB ratings for #1 overall quarterbacks(the ratings reflect what they started out as, they've obviously improved from that). Those who play Madden understand how much QB awareness is factored into overall ratings, and all rookie quarterbacks have pooty awareness ratings.

I will say Newton will be pretty fun to play with in Madden if he is drafted here. Rating will be low but he'll be the best QB the Panthers have had available on Madden since the Delhomme playoff collapse lol.

EA always rates rookies too high, especially QB's, so I'm guessing he'll be an 80-81.

If it were up to me he'd be right around a 75 to start off. Around 84-85 speed (same as Vince Young) with 97 arm strength, low awareness (a pretty useless rating when the user is controlling a player), 75 deep accuracy, 73 medium accuracy, 72 short accuracy, 85-90 throw on the run, and low play action rating, plus 'A' potential for franchise mode.

But then again, I'm always a lot more conservative with my Madden rosters than EA. I always re-do them and drop most everyone by 3-5 points right off the top. Other than the superstar players, that is.

I'd guess they will be pretty close to VY's with less speed and more trucking ability.

I agree with YoungPanthers89; if we draft Cam, I think that I would have better QB play on Madden. I am a tru PantherPhann and would love to see the Panthes become a powerhouse on the field and on the screen.
