Hadn't thought about that, you could be right about holding back.  Although in truth they would likely be the dominant force in the north no matter when they arrived, although that depends on how much of the army of the Vale they brought with them.  But given the losses suffered by the North in the war or wars, even 6000 men would make them the dominant force.

 

LF marrying Sansa and claiming the North is the obvious play, but I don't think he will do that.  LF could be setting things up to place Robert Arryn on the throne, making himself the real ruler of Westeros.  He might want the North's support for that eventuality.

is there a more badass character than Lyanna Mormont? Mormont vs all 3 dragons in a steel cage ladder match?  Would be interesting....interesting to see how long the dragons would last
