I'm confused about the witch. Is she really trying to help? Cause she sucks so far at healing.

Doesn't she now?

I can't explain without spoiling it for everyone.

Well actually I can...highlight below.

She basically made sure the wound got infected. What women wouldnt? his army showed up, killed all there men, enslaved all their children, and raped all the womens. So yeah she good and fuging shure Khal Drogo was going to die. ANNNNNNDDD is going to make sure his son dies, and generally ruin his entire his family. This is the catalyst for something greater however..

It ain't often I get chills watching TV anymore...but this last episode gave me chills at the end. What a great fuging serious. And the books are just as awesome, if not better (I haven't read ahead of the series).

This has quickly become my favorite HBO series, supplanting even The Sopranos.

I kind of thought that would happen. I was surprised by Cersi's reaction to Geoffrey though since I thought she would have been pulling the strings. Did it remind anyone else of the end of Braveheart?

In the books it was all worked out.

Ned would admit all this garbage and take the black. He would tell Rob to STFU and kneel and all would be over. Then Jofferey decides to grow a dick and get his own ideas.

No it didn't remind me at all of braveheart.

Haven't snagged this episode yet, but I can assume a good amount of you are pissed off... lol

I just got through the part in ASOS that PSC semi-spoiled with his highlight post... With that, a few other things, and the Red Wedding coming up, I can see the 3rd being probably the darkest book so far... and I like it...

BTW, what do you think about these people's auditions for the roles of Melisandre and Davos... There was also a Balon Greyjoy one that I thought was actually really good, but it has been locked...

I think all 3 of these people could possibly do okay in season 2 as those roles... The Melisandre and Davos ones are kinda meh, but the Balon one was pretty good...

Sean Bean literally became Ned Stark before my eyes even though he didn't visually fit the role. Very impressed with his ability and nuances.

Not impressed with either of those. Seems like they're trying too hard.

They should read the source material.

I had trouble believing Sean Bean could deliver too, but I was going to watch anyway. My ultimate issue is that everything was either scaled down (the tournament, the dothraki wedding, etc) or overproduced. I really wanted more of a Breaking Bad style of production, where everything is gritty and real feeling, instead of the LotR style sets they produced.

The twins looked fantastic though.
