I understand that it is weird to have everyone arriving at their destination so fast but its necessary. They're doing it to move the plot along faster. If they allowed for actual travel time we would have 20 seasons of the show.

The walking scenes will be in the director cuts.

How many damn Iron Islanders are there anyway?

They can raise about 20,000 men.

The show botched Euron and the Kingsmoot about as bad as they botched Dorne. I have no doubt he'll magically have a new giant fleet by next episode.

You didn't drop that hope 2 season ago? She won't be on the show, it wouldn't even fit at this point.

I did. But it was such a huge part in the books I can't believe it was skipped. I love Briene's character on the show but she should be a corpse.

She isn't dead in the books though. Or I'm forgetting something

You're right at the end of Feast she has the noose around her neck and is cut down when she chooses to go after Jamie in Dances with Dragons. It's been so long since I've read the books I'm getting my histories mixed up. Time to re-read.

I was about to say that I need to go re-read them.  It's hard to keep up..  Especially with so much changing in the show.  Like the fact that they left out young Griff.  That would probably just confuse people more though

I have a feeling Young Griff is left off because his plot goes no where.  That's what I was thinking reading the last book.  I was like "WTF is going on with this guy?"  I already had the thoughts that Jon Snow wasn't going to die, and that he was too important, and of course Danny and Tyrion.  I think there are enough patterns in the snow to see that the Young Griff story line is going to get squashed.

For anyone that likes Game of Thrones and likes reading books, I have to take the opportunity to guide you towards Scott Lynch and Patrick Rothfuss' books as well. Just your PSA for the day.

Warning, the series these guys are doing aren't finished yet either, but you can get into them before they become the next big television show. Both, as far as I know, will end up being major shows/movies in the future.

What is the name of the series or are you talking about 2 different series from each of them? I don't know how to Google well...obviously.

Scott Lynch - The Gentleman Bastards series (starts with The Lies of Locke Lamora)

Patrick Rothfuss - The Kingkiller Chronicle (starts with The Name of the Wind)
