Decent episode, but...

The Daenerys/Jorah scene seemed, idk, a little "tacked on"...  pretty obvious he's coming back...

The old man in the tree didn't think it was prudent at any point to say, "hey Bran, if you see the Night's King in one of our little warg dream sequences here, don't let him touch you... that is the ONLY fuging THING that breaks the spell and then they can kill us all..."  Uhh...???

...and the rumors about "Hodor" were true, fine, but where was she taking Bran?  Out into the ice and snow, where uhh, idk the ENTIRE white walker horde lives???  That was just weird to me...   I assume they'll meet up with Jon and Sansa, but don't they have to get south of the wall?

I still also don't really get where the Arya plotline is leading, I mean obviously she's going to play some part in the future, but that doesn't really fit in yet... I'm hoping it will more as we go.

The good for me...

Sansa has grown a massive set of balls (pun intended)...

...and now I think we know how Daenerys crosses the sea... on the Iron Fleet that just escaped Euron...  (totally my speculation).

I think, like someone says, Benjen or someone runs into Bran.  Someone has to help them, I just can't believe they escape on their own, even as tough as Meera is.

I think Arya is about to leave the faceless men.  I think this assignment, around the play of her father dying and whatnot, was a test and I don't think she's quite over it (as seen in her reaction).  I think that, or maybe some rumor of Sansa meeting up with Jon, will persuade her to find needle and go back home, but we'll see.

I'm not sure Theon and his sister go to Dany, I don't think they have enough boats anyway, that's why Euron needs a thousand.   Could it be possible Theon convinces her to go help the Starks?   We'll have to see.  It's the only place for them to really go I think.

Personally, i thought Sansa should have at least considered Littlefinger's offer of an Army.  Not that I trust little finger (he could just as easily betray them to Bolton, but I certainly wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.  And then as soon as they have retaken Winterfell, stick a knife in him.

Regarding where she took Bran, what other option did she have?  She had to get out of the Cave.  Since she didn't have a Helicopter handy, traveling across the ice and snow was pretty much the only choice.

I agree... she should have taken Little Finger up on the Army and had Brienne follow him around with orders to kill him as soon as the army was hers...

Agreed, she really didn't have anywhere to go, which is my gripe... where was she going?  Aren't they just going to follow them into the weather?  The Night King kind of rules the cold, no?

My guess is Bran will use his new Jedi skills to navigate thru and around the bad guys and join up with either more of the little people, other wildlings, Jon and Sansa, or another of the houses in the North.  Might even find Theon and convince him and Asha to follow him for a little while (that would be an interesting twist).

Bran needs to use his tools to find Meera's swamp people for help, wherever they are lol.

There's no way Littlefinger isn't involved later though, so don't worry, he knows that he can't find power unless he's in the middle of that fight.... on one of the sides at least.

Anyone get the impression that Cersei, or her people at least, were behind the mark that Arya was given? I think she will realize this and flee, not wanting to kill FOR someone Arya Stark wants to kill.

I think Benjen shows up and gets Bran and Meera back to the Wall at least. But Bran needs to get back to Winterfell, eventually. I think that he will end up there and use that weirwood as his eyes, since the other one was pretty much destroyed.  Benjen can also likely legitimize Jon, either through Bran if he doesn't stick around, or to Northern allies.

I think Arya ultimately leaves the faceless men....when she gets a name of a Stark.  I think the subtle clue was dropped when she was warned that death doesn't only come for the bad.   So when she is finally "ready" I think she gets the name of Sansa or Snow.  As much time as they have spent with that storyline I think it has to play in big.

There is a pretty crazy theory (well, crazy up until this point) that Bran is, in essence, a time traveler that is influencing the past in order to change the future. I could totally see this being true now, but I guess the biggest question is, what kind of time travel is it? If it is a fixed future outcome, then whatever he is trying to prevent will happen anyway. I guess I am going to have to dig deeper into this theory now...

Not only did Bran warg into past Hodor, but past Hodor obviously heard Meera screaming to "hold the door." So did Hodor hear that through Bran's ears?

I'm honestly kind of bummed that this whole story may just be Bran controlling time. At the same time, I am actually very interested to hear the full explanation.

There is a line of thought that she would get Jon's name and that would be her cue to leave, but I think it is going to end up being more of her Stark values (like I mentioned of her not wanting to essentially work for someone who she herself wants to kill) coming through than her being totally appalled by the target she is given.

Another thing that I remembered from last night... I am now dying to know what Varys' pecker n' balls screamed out as they were being torched in the fire. That was a very odd moment and showed me that there is even more secrets to Varys than we know.
