I really don't mind spoilers like that... if it happens that way it'll be pretty awesome and I get to see it so...  something like that pretty much has to happen anyway.

I could see the above playing out...episode 9 being the huge battle, and then episode 10 bringing back the White Walkers. It sucks to keep "teasing" the Night's King but it seems like that's their course of action until the North is decided. Episode 10 starts tying up a few loose ends, while new problems are becoming evident...including the huge one of a crumbling wall and undead army heading south, to meet a pretty depleted army of Snow/Wildlings/etc. 

Edit...I could also see Jon going into the crypts at Winterfell and some weird poo happening here to finish the season out and be the big "what's going to happen" next season. 

 

Couple random thoughts. Wish I knew where Arya's plot was going. I mean, I get that she's probably going to assassinate some people, but what's the endgame there? And Sam and Gilly popping back up last night...what will Sam's role end up being? Messenger to spread the word about the Others is all I can see.

I could see a couple of things happening. With Jon Snow and the White Walkers, it would be interesting if that since he was already dead, he is impervious to anything they try to do. It would be an interesting twist.

With Arya, it would be interesting if she were to assassinate Cersei at the end of the season. Come in all disguised up, kill her and pull off the face to reveal her identity as Cersei is dying. Talk about an oh poo moment.

That's my thinking with Arya. I feel like she'll get to take out a Clegane and Cersei, and that will be her final act. 

As for Snow...I think you're onto something with him already being dead before playing a part. He's either seen the other side and has knowledge of something, or he's going to be granted some form of "ability" to where Walkers know he's dead, thinks he's one of them, or he'll be able to do something cool with the already dead (that's where my thoughts on the Winterfell Crypts came in).  A book reader can confirm, but Jon was having recurring dreams about the crypts in the stories IIRC. I doubt that's some minor detail.

I think she might end up offing Melisandre.  Melisandre did prophesy that they would meet again, but maybe the meeting will not be to Melisandre's liking.

Clegane Bowl looks like it might be happening on the show... They dropped some dialogue towards the Hound this last episode, and hinted at Gregor being Cersei's champ in the trial of the Seven...

Thematically it makes sense for a clegane bowl to happen. The redemptive arc for the hound centers around what happened to him as a child. I for one am getting HYYYYYPE.

 

btw idk if anyone keeps up with this sort of thing but GRRM released a newish sample chapter on his website yesterday. Worth a read if you are waiting for TWOW. I think he is nearing the finish line. Book should be here by the end of 2016

I feel like everyone stopped liking Arya when she started training.  It's a slow process and everyone wants results quickly.  A girl does not become no one over night.  When she starts whooping ass again, she will be a fan favorite again.
