but dont all interviews be scripted? you cant play a leader role and have that much success.

What does he do within 2 seconds when a defense does something completed different than what he expects and protection breaks down? Does he struggle and throw the ball away every time? Or will he be able to think quick on his feet and still make a good play. That is what separates great from good. With the first pick in the draft, we have to be sure he could be a great player.

I have a video that'll answer that question if you haven't seen it

Perhaps you overlooked the fact that he ran for 1500 yards in the SEC last year.

and thats when he is at his best, making something out of nothing. but instead of using his legs all the time, he will have to learn how to still pick apart a d after extending the play.

I hate that he isn't well-spoken. Doesn't change how I feel about him as a football player. He is a very special football player. I still believe he will be an outstanding football player. It is very tough listening to him in interviews though. He has a tough time expressing himself orally. He isn't good with words at all. Steve McNair used to be like that, but he got more and more comfortable, and it became second nature for him. I know how it can be tough when you talk one way around your boys, family, and peers. You may talk with a lil slang and cuss a little, and when you do interviews you are thinking too much of how to express yourself properly and it comes out all wrong. He expresses himself on the field quite well though. He is a marvelous football player, and I look forward to seeing him compete in the NFL. Whether he is with this team or not.

That is what I am questioning...can he do that? Will he be able to have the same mindset the elite QBs in the league?

This can actually be coached up. When Michael Jordan came into the NBA dude could not talk worth a poo and came across as camera shy. He got the right people around him and now he doesnt mind speaking in front of cameras. I dont think Cam is as bad as MJ was, but once the Panther handlers get a hold of him, Im confident they can coach him up on how to address the media and what to and what not to say.

i think so. he did a pretty good job at auburn doing that. but the jury is still out on that at the time, but i remember seeing something that said he was at his best when being blitz. (passing best)

Yea, that's what I am banking on. Like I said, Steve McNair was very similiar in that regard. He sat for a couple of years though. So he was able to polish his speaking skills along with his football skills out of the spotlight. Cam will be different. He will be the #1 pick, so it will be trial and error in that regard. I think he will be fine. Football season can't get here fast enough for me. He can change this damn franchise. I am excited about the possibility...

Yeah his completion percentage was 76% when facing 5 or more rushers. That compares to 66% overall.

That's because he had 1 on 1 coverage and didn't have to read a zone
