Hoping for a sweep so it puts more thoughts in CP3's head to leave the Hornets

Chris Paul won't allow that though LA wins this series with Chris Paul putting on his best Iverson in the 2001 finals vs Lakers type performance...

If the Hornets still had D West I'd have them in 7, but since he's out the Lakers will win this in 6. I'm still voting for the Hornets, though lol...

The Hornets have a great coach in Monty, so I dont expect them to fold easily. Paul has been off most this season because of that knee, but he's going to explode this series. With Ariza and Paul as premier swipers, the bees are a great defensive team, so I expect them to give Fisher and Kobe problems. Overall, I think the Lakers are too big for the Hornets though. Gasol will rape Landry and Aaron Gray inside

CP3 was just amazing down the stretch, willing his team to the victory. It's not that Kobe was that bad, he did have that one stretch half way through the fourth to shift the momentum, it's just that Paul did better.

Pau's bad shooting was what cost them. They need production out of him so they don't have to rely on Kobe. I guarantee that will happen game 2 and LA will win.

Bobcats need to bring this man to Charlotte.

I love Chris Paul. He is the fuging man. When he is playing his best he is the best point guard in the league right up there with Rose. There is no more argument, he owns D-Will

Yessir! Chris Paul went HAM on the Lakers...Mr Unstoppable in the 4th quarter! Best PG in the game! The Hornets only had 3 turnovers in the game. Incredible! They also got some big time help from their second unit, as well. Hopefully, Aaron Gray's ankle isnt too f'd up and CP is going to have to be a monster each and every game if the Hornets are going to make it out of this one. CP is my favorite player, ever! He was definitely putting on for Winston tonight!

    • Nah you are just haven't watched all of the playoffs....   And im referring the playoffs were hes currently sitting at .895 % and over 3 gaa    But again gotta beat the best.   Those of you who are gonna act like chicken littles before a matchup is even decided lol
    • No, I don't root for drops to be what loses a game, especially from a player who has/had drop issues, as that's not showing improvement. And no, I don't resent it if they win, just as I don't "celebrate" if we lose either.  But I don't get upset if we lose because I know it's for the best for our future, just like I don't go running through the streets celebrating a meaningless December win that doesn't do anything other than hurt our draft stock in a lost season. In a year like last year and this next year, where we've put considerable assets into the offense at the expense of our defense to be fixed later, something both fans and the team themselves know, as you can only add so many players in any given offseason.  Then I'm looking for us to click offensively, have everyone looking better than the year before and show growth.   But then the side of our team we know is a weakness, to be the reason we lose in a high scoring game.  Give me Bryce going down and taking a 2 point lead with 2-3 minutes left in the game, but then our defense almost holding the other team from getting into scoring position and they end up needing a 55 yard FG to win the game and beat us. That can happen while our young defensive players show tons of promise, but still have one or two too many holes and/or just inexperience that it costs us games in the end, but it's still a successful season of growth and improvement. Or even better, just look great on both sides in a close game and end up getting totally screwed by the refs with a bad late call that hands them the game. And again, those are the kinds of things I'm wanting to see happen once it's already a lost season.   And I'm only saying I'd rather not make the playoffs when the alternate scenario is making but losing in the first round. Because those are the scenarios where we improve as a team, get better draft picks, and an easier schedule the next year.  You then use the cap space and higher draft picks to fill the remaining defensive holes with impact players and you're then cooking with gas in that next season and have real potential.
    • He's getting hot again. He always has a playoff streak.
