It isn't a threat. He talked it over with his wife, his investments have paid off to the tune of 80 million. If he doesn't leave Cinci he will retire.

I have lost a lot of respect for Palmer. A contract is a contract and he needs to make good on it. He had no issue taking the millions of dollars at first, but now he is too good for it. Can you imagine being a Bengals fan and hearing this....

I still remember watching Mike Brown ask his coaching staff if they had any TE's they could convert to DE's, LOL... the coaches all just kind of looked at each other and smiled.

I would not want to trade him, it sets a bad example for the rest of the team.

However, I do feel that in this particular instance, it's probably the best thing for everyone.
