I've heard that Denver wants to move down so that would make sense. I also don't see Hurney taking us out of position to draft Newton or Gabbert. I think he just makes a decision on which he likes better and pulls the trigger..I don't see us moving out of #1 unless we know that Newton or Gabbert will be there (picks 1,2 or 3).

The redskins are at 10, have NO 3rd or 4th rounders, and a whopping three 7th rounders? All the coveted picks each faction of the huddle lobbies for would also be gone by our #10 pick then clearly.

So, serious question. How many of the trade down supporters here would be ok with this, just to obtain a 2nd round pick?

We may as well just pass on the draft altogether if our GM is dumb enough to accept a trade like that.

Shanny knows that he has never done squat without a HOF QB on his roster, and is getting nervous about it.

Would not shock me at all, if we take Cam, that he makes a huge push to get to the no. 3 position to get Gabbert. Also that they will offer the farm for Palmer would be a guess.

The Broncos would probably be asking about the same as the Panthers, so Shanahan could opt to take out all speculation about which QB the Panthers would select, by taking the #1 pick from Carolina.

Carolina would then have two #1's next season just in case they still have need of a QB.

Troy Aikman went 1-15 his first season. Not a great Clausen fan, but think it a bit premature to go for another QB when all QB's last season spent a huge amount of time on their backs.

Couple that with the fact that all QB's this year are major projects, the trade down for more picks would be a good move for a new coach who might want to make his mark on a new team.

Put some things in place, then check out the QB situation, make your move next year if need be.

But if they want either Gabbert or Newton, they would have to be retarded to trade with is.

Why, because if it's us 1st and Washington 2nd then both buffalo and cincy would miss out on the two top rated QBs in this draft, which could result in us being able to trade back to cincy's 4th without losing out on the top prospects available at that pick instead of the 10th pick. Trading down to 10 is a little too far in this draft.

It would be too late for that. We would have probably already picked by the time Denver would make the trade.

Best case: Philip Rivers and Eli Manning 2004.

We call Cincy, ask who they want, (Gabbert). We choose Gabbert, we get their 1st, Palmer, and another player to trade them the rights to Gabbert.

We then take either PP or Green.
