I say color, cut, clarity are the key.........karat size is not as important. You can get a women less than 1 karat and it be a lot nicer ring than some that are over 1 karat. Chicks want a ring that looks good.....a good cut goes a long way.

It's pointless to just get the biggest diamond you can afford if looks like a hunk of glass with vaseline on it.
