Give me your opinion

I actually lost the best friend I had during my middle/high school/college years this way...

He developed some sort of obsession with my wife and would start dropping her emails like this... clearly fishing...

Basically what it boiled down to was that he was envious of what I had and wished he had something similar... He wanted to take the easy route instead of going out there and getting his own woman...

My wife alerted me to it after trying to shoot it down herself, because she knew it'd piss me off if I knew what he was doing... but, alas, he couldn't take her hints so I had to get involved... I basically told him to fug off or else... We stopped having any contact with him at all, and to this day (5 or so years later) I barely talk to the guy...

Such a shame to end such a good, long friendship over something so stupid and easily avoidable...

Since this is someone who isn't your friend or anything like that, I'd say let her handle it... If it continues, then invade his personal life like he is invading yours... Show up at his workplace and cause a scene... Find out who his friends and family are and clue them in to what a dirt bag the guy is...

Honestly, I can see the attractiveness a guy finds in knowing a woman is married, because I think women do the same thing with men... They see it as both a challenge and a security situation should something get hot and heated...

That said, to do that to someone is a total invasion and intrusion into their personal lives, and is totally against any moral code I can think of... If you do that, you get anything that comes to you... That's how folks get murdered, too...

I love it when motherfugers cross the line though, cuz then I have free reign to go apeshit, which is always fun. Had to do it to a guy when I first met my wife. He thought they were a couple because she hung out with him once (he also slipped some meth into her drink when she wasn't looking). I threw him out of the bar (literally) the first time I saw him and let him know that if he wanted to die just speak to my wife again.

The last time she came in contact with him I was actually present and he is outgoing to the extreme and when I wasn't around he didn't even talk with her.

Maybe this is just the old man talking (which I am) but to me, cyber stuff is all grain of salt stuff.

Perhaps I should change my opinion on that, but my wife shares it.

Computer/email/text is not real life....to us old farts.

He is younger, a gen y so much more accustomed to this sexting crap or whatever it is called.

I say this being a horrible flirt with most every breathing female I come in contact with. Lines have to be defined early or poo can go down hill quickly.
