I'm gonna have to go down one weekend to get some Britts. Maybe the boy and I will just drive down one Saturday morning and leave late that night.

my dad does the round trip on occasion. about 7 or 8 hrs of driving time total for him coming from just a little south of where you are

lolz.....good, so I can tell them to f**k off

Hopefully you and wifey will be settled enough to come have lunch or something too :)

we'll figure something out. maybe you can just stop by if nothing else.

Taking notes from this thread. Moving down there in August

It's all about where you work, and when.

If you are buying a home, and don't have to work in ILM at a 9-5er...Leland is great. However if you do have to do that, I would stick to NH county.

shipyard, college, market and eastwood can be just as bad on traffic although there are more lanes to use, and more branches off of them to escape with.

Yeah, College is particularly bad near Oleander (which I end up going thru at least once a day) but the problem with the bridges is that there are no alternate routes...

If I want to get to work, I can go up College, go up Pine Grove, go up 17th St Extension, Carolina Beach Road, etc. None are really any faster, but if there's a wreck or something I have alternate ways to go.
