i normally take lunch at my desk, but leave it occasionally. we could plan for a day some time. you don't remember where I work? going out to college would make it a little bit of a long lunch, but i could jump on 140 and make it out there in probably 15 or 20.

I think I remember, but I know you changed too... so no, not completely.

I was thinking it was on the north side of town...

I'm free pretty much any day... days when the weather is like it is today are best. The girlies show more skin... :D

I live on the ILM side and work on the Leland side, and even I got stuck this morning.

The way the laws are now:

The bridge can be opened for personal boats only on the hour, but for commercial or governmental ships it can be opened anytime.

Wilmington is probably one of the only areas where this is a major problem in the state, but it probably is time to look at some of these laws.

I long for the day when they have the skyway built... but crap, that could be 20 more years. They're just now starting on the south leg of I-140/Hwy17 Bypass south of Leland. At least now we have the I-140 bridge up off of 421 if the other two were completely stuck.

Honestly, we probably will never see the Skyway, at least not how they have it planned out now.

When I-140 is done it will take a ton of pressure of of the 2 main bridges. It's the way that I will commute.

Why? Is one ship really more important than hundreds(maybe even into the thousands when accounting for all directions) of cars?

It's happened four times this week that I know of. Three times were actually tankers going to the shipyard so MAYBE they are important enough, but Monday afternoon it was for a sailboat with a very tall mast. WTF?

Boats have the right of way.
