9:30 Update From Gantt

So here we are, roughly 18 hours from the deadline to use the franchise tag on someone.

Here's what we can gather at this hour:

-- It sounds like they're still working to finish a deal for Jordan Gross, but I'm gathering we're not going to hear anything tonight. Much like earlier in the day with the Peppers news, however, it can all change with one phone call. So stay tuned.

-- The "four team" demand by Peppers' camp today seems pretty transparent, pointing directly toward the one AFC team.

They're not going to put him in the NFC South (never mind the fact no one in this division runs his preferred 3-4), and Dallas doesn't have the first-round pick which would represent the foundation for any trade.

So now it's a matter of figuring out which AFC team he has his heart set on. I have a hunch or two, and we're working on finding out more.

I was thinking the same thing. Peppers knew he couldn't go to dallas, and he knew we wouldn't send him to anyone in the NFC SOUTH. I'm thinking either Miami or NE.

I get the feeling it's baltimore. I don't know why. I just get that feeling though. That or the Jets. Since Rex Ryan is with the Jets now.

TEXANS is my frontrunner. Then possibly Pats, Jets, or Ravens. But, I have a feeling it's the Texans because I think his agent is pulling most of the strings and he's based out of there.
