Honestly given the perception of the QBs at the time they were drafted...

Why don't the Panthers just trade the #1 overall pick to Cincinnati for Carson Palmer and the #4 overall pick then use the #4 pick for Patrick Peterson.

The Bengals get whatever QB they wanted to draft, we don't waste a pick on a bust like Newton or Gabbert and everyone goes home happy.

It really is a no brainer.

I did not say that he was an above average NFL quarterback, I said he was an above average quarterback. That means all-around throughout the highschool, college, and NFL level, Newton would be considered an above average quarterback.

A comma separates a fugging thought for crying out loud. If your going to infer from my posts at least infer from what I mean. In high school Newton was an above average QB, in college Newton was a phenominal QB, so in the NFL he has the ability to be an above average to a phenominal QB. This is what is called a cieling. DAMNIT!!!

A comma is also used to separate common ideas in a list. Ex:

I went to the store today to buy eggs, milk, and cheese.

If you used the comma to separate your thoughts in the sentence in question instead of using the comma to make a list, your thoughts would be this:

That means all-around throughout the highschool.

College.

And NFL level.

Newton would be considered an above average quarterback.

Now what I think happened is you got caught and don't want to backtrack. You were listing the places Newton was/is an above average QB and you included the NFL. :frown2:

Read my original post and there is nothing about the NFL in there. I think you just want to argue about something because you have no life and U MAD!!!

WE CAN'T

If there is no CBA in line we cannot trade for a player. I don't understand why people keep suggesting trading for players.

Carson Palmer is so bad. His arm is dead and he throws loads of picks. He was surrounded by good players last year and didn't do poo. That isn't going to work since Chud likes to air out. Do not bring him anywhere near Carolina.

But if they knew they were going to win a SB they would have taken him.

The point is, you don't have to be a franchise QB to win a SB; but you do have to have a above average QB to be succesful in the league and Newton is definitley an above average QB whether you want to admit it or not.

You refer to "the league" and winning SBs then go on to mention Newton.

You say we need an above average QB to be successful in "the league" and Newton is definitely an above average QB.

Please clarify if you didn't want "the league" to mean the NFL. Also clarify that if you weren't talking about Newton as above average in NFL terms, why mention that he is above average. It should be assumed by everyone here that any NFL QB was above average in college and high school so mentioning that about Cam seems pointless.

Please clarify

Carson Palmer is 10x the QB and man than Cam Newton or Blaine Gabbert will ever be.

I'd take him in a second over those 2. And if we really want a QB let's draft Scott Tolzien in the later rounds. Dude's got game, could be the next Chad Pennington.
