Projected 9th pick... Who will it be

Harrison Barnes as one of the most pro ready? Don't make me laugh. He had some great games this year, but if you look at the games he struggled, he struggled when playing a long athletic defender, which many of the starters at the 3 in the nba are. He needs to learn how to be more physical before he will be even close to ready for the NBA. Right now I think Kanter/Irving and MAYBE Derrick Williams(really depends on what position the team that drafts him has him play) are the most NBA ready. Kanter has the size and strength to bang inside, and is a good enough defend to hold his own in the post against the bigger centers in the NBA. Irving's game translates well, very high bball IQ, great vision, great passer, and can create separation in the lane or on the perimeter and knock down shots. Williams at the 3 is good to go, big and strong enough to guard the larger 3's in the NBA, hyper athletic and an above average rebounder for a 3. And he showed in the tournament he was more than capable of knocking down the jump shot when the opportunity arises.

Duke fan.

Every time I've done the ESPN lottery thing it has us taking Knight at 9.

And that would make me happy.

No matter how many times I did it. Bobcats got Knight.

I think ESPN had Kemba projected as the #9 prospect when he declared IIRC... I've been thinking that Josh Selby may be a steal if we kept the #19 because I think he didn't mesh with Self at Kansas... So, I'm not sure where we should take a wing (guard or 3) and where we should take a big.

We'll probably need to take that Kanter guy at #9 if he's there and look for a wing at 19, if those are the picks we keep.
