when you say agent you might as well say Peppers. Cause his agent isn't really an agent. Just peppers best friend.
An agent is an agent. Any agent should also be the players friend. What has been done so far isn't out of the norm. If he was under contract, then fans would at least have something to stand on with their argument that he's acting/handling things badly.

I have no problem with what Peppers and his agent have done. His agent is being paid to get him the best deal he possibly can for his client. Otherwise, he wouldn't be his agent. Peppers has done nothing wrong at all. He wants to leave, which he has earned the right to do by playing out his contract. I have been a Panthers fan long before I ever heard the name Julius Peppers, and I will be a Panthers fan long after he has retired.

And what is your point? Is that a back handed way of saying that those of us who aren't filled with hatred, aren't Panther fans?

Whatever your point, I've been a Panther fan since day one. I bleed black and blue. I will ALWAYS follow the Panthers to my grave, and hopefully, after too.

Peppers has been nothing but a professional. And watching a player of his ability will always be entertaining. You can be a Panther fan, and still admit that.

No, (insert inappropriate bash) I said we need to do what is best for the team. Not what is best for JP. We are Panthers fans not JP fans, Am I right?

What? The man and his agent are handling things the way it should be done. He waited until after the season, after his contract was up. And you are a hater now? Why don't you go play in traffic. We don't need ignorant folks like you running around breeding.

Sorry but that is not how you're supposed to handle things. What did you think of Chad Ocho-Cinco last year demanding a trade? Or how about when TO went to the media about wanting out of Philly? Hell even Haynesworth has handled things better during the offseason. Sure Pep wasn't as loud about it but if you saw the interview he gave during the Pro Bowl I'm sure you'd understand why his actions irk me. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Peppers because of how he handled himself but this threw everything out the window. It doesn't matter if he waited for the season to be over, the fact that he's demanding to be traded publicly is a low blow to the organization. I don't hate Peppers, mind you. I just have lost any respect I have for him.

All but Haynesworth, were all under contract. Their situations don't even compare to Peppers. Peppers played out his contract before even deciding he wanted out. His focus was football. So I have no idea how you can sit there and proceed to tell me Peppers is handling this wrong. I also saw the interview at the Pro-bowl. If that is your reason for lost of respect, then that is your choice. But you are flat out wrong that Peppers has handled this badly. He played out his contract like a professional. Which is more than any of the players you stated has done.

Yes, we are Panther fans. And what is best for the Panthers in my eyes, is to get moved on from this as soon as possible. The sooner, the better. I'm not going to get hung up on how Peppers and his agent are handling their bid for a new team, or compensation. If we get something for him, great. If not, I'll be glad that the Panthers have moved on.

Lance Briggs, do you remember that situation? I'm sure you do, and it's no different than what Peppers is doing here.

Peppers is not under contract. He owes us nothing. All he and his agent are doing is doing a bit of advertising as to what and where Pep desires. Nothing wrong with that. He's not holding the Panthers hostage. Get over it.

Briggs wasn't under contract. The fact of the matter is he was STILL UNDER CONTRACT when he made those comments.
