and I've come to the conclusion these threads a lot more interesting when doing so...

I've been reading right to left just to mix it up a little. :p

At the end of the season EVERYBODY is injured. And I don't hope he runs 20 times a game either. Just that he can be effective.

Did he average 20 at his junior college? I thought it was far less.

You're not concerned at all that after ~13 games he's coming down injured? =|

It was less. And no not really. I mean everybody is hurting at the end of the season. There is a difference between being hurt and being injured. He hasn't been injured. McNair, Vick, Big Ben, Freeman, Favre, etc. Almost all the guys are hurting at the end of the year. With the posiible exception of Peyton Manning who doesn't get touched even when he is sacked usually

I guess I mean that i have no more a worry about him getting injured than any other QB. He is a big boy you know. Nobody wants him running as much as he did in college but he is still a big boy that can take it.

Ok, he was "hurting" so bad in Juco he couldn't throw the ball so his team had to run the option offense because his shoulder was incapable of completing a throwing motion.

That may not be injured to you, but it kind of is to me.

I'm NOT saying "let's not take him because he's injury prone," I'm just saying... let's not pretend that quarterbacks who use their legs aren't more likely to get injured, and Cam has basically already shown that.

i think your overeacting a bit...he's not gonna be asked to run and they will stress the importance of sliding and going out of bounds...i mean it's football though, he's gonna get hit and dinged up from time to time

That coach was over exaggerating. Cam definitely threw the ball in the second half of that game.

like I said, it's not a big deal, but whenever people point to The Golden Calf of Bristol (all 3 games lol) or vick's playstyle as how he'll play I get worried.

the thing that people aren't getting..the Panthers have been in Newton's hip pocket since the combine..if after all that we are still going to draft him I have confidence we did our due dilligence..we did not do this with clausen(we had no idea to really).

Just to make bleys theory more accurate I'm declaring

"there is no way we draft Newton, anyone who says we are or should is lying and might get fired from their position at the Charlotte Observer"

there that's the huddle recap
