Somewhere, in a sad little bar, PFFL, Jerry, KJDaniels, and Pantherpop are sharing beers and a tears together wondering how they were so wrong after pontificating about how right they were before the draft.

Nah, its just pffl. The others seem to have had enough sense to stop talking or man up and admit the mistake thus far.

The correct thing to do is:

Draft Patrick Peterson with 1st overall pick

Address all other team needs with rest of draft picks

Worry about QB later

Sign Brodie Croyle/Matt Leinart/J.P. Losman/Kyle Boller in FA to be starter once CBA gets done. Preferably Croyle because he's awesome.

You guys should have known he was talking nonsense when he said to pick up Kyle fugin Boller. :out:

Some of the hate people had for Cam is crazy to read. I'll be honest, I wasn't comfortable with him being the pick, but thought he had to be the pick if that makes sense. Glad some of us have no decision making abilities when it comes to the team.

If you think the talk here was bad, you shoulda seen Facebook on draft day.

Honestly I think if a lot of us had access to the kind of stuff the FO did, then we might have made the same decision. They actually got to meet him and look at his work more in depth than any of us could have.

I was never big on drafting any QB, but it has really paid off for us so far. I'm glad for that.

Look, I was wrong too. But at least majority came back and said so and rallied behind our QB. The ones that didn't either disappeared or trolled the boards because we all know that the only thing that matters in life is E-REP!!!!

If people had been paying attention to the facts and not the rumors or innuendos, they could have come to the same conclusion that I did. Newton had the most upside of any quarterback in the draft not only this year but in some time. Surely enough to pick him as we did. As for the positives, yes they saw them and it influenced their decision. All we had to do was trust that Hurney and Rivera would make the best choice for the franchise and guess right. Seems some of the most vocal critics were also selling the front office and Hurney pretty short during the draft.

I wonder how many people will man up about the Marty Hurney hate that's been going around lately. When they see the finished project the FO is working on.
