CP3 "think about" Signing with Cats in '12

This talk may be pointless with a lockout likely and more substantial changes happening to the NBA. Stern has said countless times the wants to mimick the NFL's CBA structure thus eliminating the superstar bunches on one team. This might be the last playoffs with this type of structure.

Draft picks are going to be more and more valuable starting next year and small market teams are going to become relavant again. So this more than likely makes CP3 to NY unlikly, Howard to LA unlikely, etc. ESPN Insider has already reported that the Heat have been shopping Bosh already..and its not even the offseason. If this is true it shows how you can't have three superstars on one team under a new looming CBA. Isn't going to happen....

Still doesn't mean CP3 is coming to charlotte. We need to build throught he draft.

He isn't coming here. LA, Knicks, Miami, Hell even Orlando are all better destinations for him

Maybe he'll subscribe to the "come to the Bobcats and make it HIS team" theory. If someone really cares about a legacy, it may be easier to become the team's best player ever. When you think about the Pacers, who do you think of? Reggie Miller. Someone like CP3 could possibly do that here. This is why LeBron ruined his legacy when he left the Cavs, he had a chance to make that HIS team forever, and it kind of is at this point (in terms of the best they've ever had) but it won't be his legacy.

I'd still rather get lucky in the draft (like someone like Durrant) and let him grow with the organization but I'd take Paul.

IF that's what he wants to do, then why not just stay in N.O. where he's all ready reaching that status?

I just talked about this with my buddy and word on the street is he's going to NY fo sure. He even made a toast at Carmelo's wedding supporting it

Toast or not it prob won't happen with new CBA unless of course paul, melo and amar'e all decide to play for, well, just toast.

Yeah, true. Even though the Hornets have been around longer they don't really have a person that defines them or you think about.

Everyone has their opinions, but a hard cap would be the worst thing for the NBA IMO.

I hate the lakers, but I love to hate them because they are a good team and carry that laker legacy with them. They are a great team.. I can name the starting 5 and the bench....

There's a reason TV ratings are extremly up this year... Great teams sell on TV. Most people do not want to watch one star surrounded by okay to mediocre talent... where the 4th and 5th starter is noone you need to know. That's why ratings where horrible back in early 2000's... no great teams... Spurs fundamental, and pistons... that was the best showcase they had in terms of teams.

People don't watch Chris paul and the hornets, or Williams and the jazz or nets. But put one of them with another star, and role players = ratings huge increase.

I am going to enjoy watching great teams in the NBA playoffs this year because I think this may be the last time I see team play on this level in the NBA. When you spread talent around even in the NBA you get mediocre team talent and mediocre play compared to what we have now.

I respect the Lakers legacy. I just don't see the need to tarnish it by allowing Kobe to continue wearing a Lakers jersey.

no jealousy there! I really don't understand why a team would want one of the best players in history on their team!!!

Rae Carruth is bad, but Kobe Bryant is God!

Because conspiring to murder someone and being accused of rape (and having the charges dropped because the accuser wont testify) are even close to the same thing. You're a Kobe hater that's fine but to compare Kobe to Rae Carruth makes you look like a fool....
