How can you call your truck a "Real Man's Truck"...

When searching for a vehicle, I have walked away from automatics. A manual requires less maintenance, gets better gas mileage, and is easier to repair.

the difference in gas mileage is almost negligible to me. A straight drive version of my truck gets maybe 2 miles more per gallon. Thats around 40 miles per tank. I know over a year that's a lot, but i fill up more often than that. Plus i get about 16 mpg anyway. good for a 8 cylinder, 4WD regardless of transmission.

on the maintenance. i'm not trained to work on transmissions or transfer cases so thats also negligible. i don't wanna try and tackle something i have no business doing.

Real men drive sticks.

yeah that sounds gay.

I've only driven 3 cars in my life, all Nissans, all very reliable, not one broke down on me ever (knock on wood for my current Pfinder).

I do, however, know how to drive manual. Seems a little tough to be able to do all the gear shifting in traffic and so on but I imagine that it just becomes 2nd nature and you're doing it without even realizing it

i like the windows down if i'm not on the highway, and when we aren't getting a summer rain. above 60 though i'm using the AC. the wind at that speed beats on the side of my head, drowns out the radio, and the drag reduces your gas mileage.
