Darin Gantt no longer covering Panthers

that's crazy. man, I wish him the best of luck, this sucks. I actually have appreciated his insight even more since he had joined twitter and everything and he was more than willing to answer fan's questions about what's going on with our team, I don't get the backlash.

Darin is by far the best local beat writer. You may not agree with all his perspectives, but he was always the first one in to watch practice and the last to leave. I saw this with my own eyes for the past 5 years.

darin gantt has been covering this team longer than most of the people here have been cheering for them.

he's one of the most fan friendly and accessible beat writers in the entire industry. he's always been at the forefront of new ways to communicate, whether it be his blog we used to love or twitter.

he lost a lot of luster when Jake left (jake agent was his primary source) but this still sucks. who the fug is joe person?

thats just awesome...how about you keep your opinion and i will keep mine

Whatever country boy. I am a grown man and I do and say what the fug I want, u understand. Now, if you want to take it there it's all good. If I see someone post some bullshit on here I am going to speak on it. All I said was I disagreed with you and said why I respected the man's work. Now if you going to get all sensitive and come at me sideways because I stated my opinion, then fug you...

also I sincerely doubt Darin stays with fuging Winthrop very long.

He was getting tons of national attention, both from local radio shows and ESPN. I promise he's gobbled up by someone before too long.

Thought about this too .. would love to see him get a national gig. Take Yas's place @ ESPN!! Or make him a fixture @ WFNZ.

probably worth the effort to write the Herald a quick note telling them they what a bad move it was. It is comical the night and day difference between Gantt and say the type work done by those who previously covered Winthrop (I went there so I pay attention to other stuff the Herald covers). Herald just lost one reader.....and the Observer guys have never impressed.

Hello Steve Reed!
