But you are right, all rappers aren't thugs. Just all 4 of the ones that you mentioned in your argument that all rappers aren't thugs.

first off sir i used those examples to make a point. They rap about killing people all the time that doesn't mean they've done it. I never said those 4 were saints. You need to broaden your rap database because being a rapper does not make you a thug. hell eminem raps about cutting his moms head off and shes still walking around. Like i said its a projection. Who you project the for the world to see how you bad you want them to think you are.

Kanye west is a good example is he a thug? Lupe fiasco, common, hell even macho man randy savage had a album lol. The point is not all rappers are thugs and rap is nothing more than another version of story telling. Telling a story in word format is about as thugish as watching scarface or the sapranos.

I was giving you poo man. :chillpill: No, Kanye is not a thug, just a douche/gayfish. Never been a huge Common fan but Lupe is the man.

Also Macho Man didn't have poo on Hulk Hogans rap album.

Dear God, have we really resorted to this in the Cam Newton argument?

Someone please tell me how is there a difference from Rappers and Rock stars who take drugs daily?

Most of you know nothing about hip hop culture, it's not ONLY black people who listen to rap, a large majority of Lil Wayne's fans are WHITE.

He's already talking about throwing bills after the game and having chromed out cars?

Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

If he was such a team guy, how come he made all his other guys be backup guys and didn't let them flow at all. Seems like he wanted all the attention during the video. Pretty selfish

The last thing he says in the video is 'on my car, I got no chrome'...and everyone laughs. Seems like a playful, innocent rap to me. Nothing wrong with a guy enjoying his time with his peers.:grouphug:

However, he certainly has a long way to go if he wants to make more of his music career. Maybe JStew can give him some pointers if we draft him.

Anybody that thinks Lil Wayne's soft privileged ass is a "thug" has lived a very sheltered lifestyle and has probably never encountered real thugs in their life. Has no clue what one is. Weezy is about as fake as they come. Dude's been in the record industry since he was 13, and has probably lived better than most people on this website since then. Growing up in gated communities and doing rap tours in your teens, isnt the lifestyle of the common thugs I know. Im sure there's people on this board who've been arrested before, or caught with drugs, or had domestic disputes. Doesnt make them thugs though. And just because Wayne and his record label decide to push an image, doesnt make him a "thug", just makes him a very good actor. People only seem tough enough to spout this "thug" stuff on the internet.

I'd call Cam Newton a thug straight to his ugly face.
