Team rebuild formula ver. Who got it right?

You are in it to win it. We've had this discussion before on here. Its about making it to the big game. Not winning in the first round.

Thats's call back tracking what you just said.... one minute you need these wins to win in the playofs... now were talking about making the superbowl when your previous statement was proven incorrect.

So Tampa is a failure because they weren't in the 6.25 percent of teams who make the super bowl each year.

and now, since ive answered the OP, im leaving it. No need to keep saying the same thing over and over again.

I bet if I go back and find a superbowl team that made it the game after a easy road to the playoffs but lose, then you will say it's all about winning the superbowl only.

Go dig up one of these old threads w/ playoff discussions in it. Ive had this one before.

Like I said…. Wrong again!!!!!!

2007 Superbowl champs New York Giants only one 10 games that year… lost to 5 teams with winning records while on beating 1!!! Yes only 1! But they were superbowl champs… And they beat up on some pooty teams that year…. Hmm sounds just like tampa bay…. And I was just told a team like that can not win in the playoffs.

Some of you are simply being contrary. If you have an example of a better team rebuilding quickly in the modern football era please provide some insight?

Dolphins - 2008

1-15 to 11-5 and in the playoffs by taking a linemen in the draft and getting a vet/second round QB

Just saying

It'll be funny if Tampa is 6-10 next year and we bump this thread.

I'm not saying they are bad, just that they aren't as good as everyone is making them out to be. Freeman had a decent year but he also had a good run game. Let's make them do it for more than one year before we crown them, no?

I dont think anyone is trying to say we want Carolina to become Tampa, or mimic them completely in every way. Simply saying that their basic formula for rebuilding was a good one. In fact it is pretty close to the formula of the Falcons I'm just not getting my hopes up that high due to the QB options at our disposal. If Luck hadn't turned out to be my greatest mortal enemy then I would have said Falcons.

I very sincerely hope that they go 6-10 next year because that most likely means that we didn't finish last in our division again.

But, if at that time you would like to say I told you so, I will respond with yes you did make a completely contrarian statement that fortunately for us came true. However it in no way disproved my theory or offered a insightful alternative. (Edit) didn't see your Dolphins post; good point.
