My roommate

lightsout

man I wish my mind was so clear that I could spend as much time as you even took to right the OP let alone the time you spend wondering/worrying about what your room mate is up to and why he goes home!

Who cares why?

THAT'S the only problem with your roommate?

PM me when you wanna know about crazy roommates that have to be kicked out or people who steal your stuff or let people fug in your bed...I wont even mention the worst one b/c its almost unbelievable

Basically, roommates in college are now the reason I live alone

Yeah, why do you care?

Sounds like a GREAT roommate.

1) Never there

2) Clean/neat because he is never there

3) Never there

He sounds like a dork. You could try taking him out for a beer and a sitdown rather than the interrogation technique, but that's just me.

Much discovery can happen with a younger lad and a few beers.

Wait, that sounds bad.....

My first roommate was like that, he was so akward that he would go to Taco Bell every night instead of eating with everyone at the cafe, for free. Turned out to be alright after we took him out a couple times and got his confidence up.

He sounds horribly homesick. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. He might be close to his family and is now in a place 2 hours away where he might not know anybody, nor does he really feel comfortable with the "college kid" lifestyle.

Plenty of people are more comfortable at home with loved ones than they are in a room two hours away with some dude trying to force you to open up to him about why you instinctively prefer being at home :P
