Your favorite TV shows past/present

I'm bored, so I figured we'd make a list of shows that we all like, or "liked" in the past, to give some ideas/suggestions.

My Highest/Favorite Tier:

Breaking Bad (still running)

Dexter (still running)

X-Files (ended)

The Wire (ended)

The Shield (ended)

Lost (ended)

Battlestar Galactica (ended)

24 (ended)

Sopranos (ended)

Band of Brothers (this is a mini-series but needed listed)

The Pacific (mini-series also)

Potential Favorites/Great Shows:

Star Trek: The Next Generation

The Walking Dead

Fringe

Boardwalk Empire

Shameless US version

Rescue Me

Jericho (ended too quickly)

Favorite Comedies:

Always Sunny in Philadelphia

How I Met Your Mother

Arrested Development

The Office

M.A.S.H.

Seinfeld

Sanford & Son

Cheesy Shows That are Entertaining:

True Blood

Sons of Anarchy

Justified

Chuck

Didn't Get a Chance but Could Have Been Decent:

The Black Donnellys

Lights Out

Rubicon

Jericho (didn't get a chance part)

Heroes (first season is amazing, the rest dropped off)

Prison Break (first season is legit, after that bad)

Shows That I Just Started or are going to start that seem promising:

The Killing

Six Feet Under

Deadwood (plan on watching soon)

Terra Nova (May 23rd on Fox)

Falling Skies (summer 2011 on TNT)

I'm sure I forgot some. I love watching good shows. Hopefully people can recommend me some new ones to start. I'm bored of all the cop shows at this point, minus a Law & Order here and there. I used to watch CSI and CSI:NY but have since lost interest (a couple years ago).

dude, you watch too much TV.

The Wonder Years

In Living Color

SNL

Jericho

The Event

Persons Unknown

The Cape

Big Brother

Survivor

Pawn Stars

American Pickers

Man vs. Food

Challenge (Food Network)

Survivorman

Life

Planet Earth

South Park

The Simpsons

Tosh.0

Chapelle's Show

I think The Event is going to get caned, and Cape already is. Unfortunately. I forgot about Chappelle's Show, one of the best comedies. I figured I'd leave out the reality/documentary stuff but I'm liking the new show "Coal" on Spike TV.

I really liked Life, I was mad it didn't catch on. But the star of that show (Damien Lewis) and Claire Danes have a new show coming out on Showtime called Homeland. The show is actually being filmed in Charlotte I believe (takes place in VA though). Seems promising.

Airwolf, Matlock, Huckleberry Hound, King of the Hill, Junkyard Wars, and the brilliant series by Tim Hunkin called "The Secret Life of Machines"

The Secret Life of Machines- the washing machine

I know it sounds really mundane but it weas a wonderful show and really shows how quickly TV is heading towards idiocracy
