The Most Dangerous Offense in the NFL

and I'm not saying that Clausen is a horrible qb with that post above. It's really hard to tell if he had any sort of potential from last season's circumstances.. I would say what most other people on this forum are saying in that I would want whatever qbs we have to all get some time on the field before the first regular season game is played so the coaches can make an objective decision and start the qb that preformed the best in the off-season and preseason.

Newton reminds me of < insert insignificant list of horrible qbs that have been drafted through the years>, and will quite possibly set us back <insert number from 1 to 50> years.

Newton reminds me of <insert insignificant list of great qbs that have been drafted through the years>, and will quite possibly prove to be a great franchise qb for the next <insert number from 10 to 16> years.

Yea truth is that you're calling out a guy's intelligence when you want a guy that hasn't been a starter for 7 years and will turn 35 at the end of this month to come in and start for us. I don't know just sounds pretty dumb to me. There's a reason why teams haven't exactly been knocking down doors trying to sign the guy. So yeah that's the truth and Im glad you're cool with it.

Isn't that what a QB is supposed to do?. Newton can make plays with his arm it's proven. He just needs to perfect his fundamentals and study the game like said. Anyway once he makes the play any one of those players is capable of making big plays. Thats all I'm saying.

Go back and watch film of Auburn. All of those "great passes" Newton made were to wide open receivers.

Defenses stacked the box against him to take away his running ability.

He showed at the combine and his pro day that his accuracy and ability to throw to a postion on the field are very suspect.

He will NOT run wild in the NFL. If he tries doing what he did in college, they will carry him off the field on a stretcher.

Newton will be an Interception Machine in the NFL.

Can't read defenses.....never made progressions....ran as soon as his #1 WR was not open....want to be an Icon and Entertainer.

This guy has bust written all over him.

Newton has more red flags than VY ever did, people forget that part.

He's not that smart either....

His big red flags come from not having the intelligence to properly read defenses..among other things

Where has Cam's intelligence been questioned? The only indication we have, the Wonderlic, wasn't bad. It was literally THREE TIMES better than VY's. Newton's red flags come from the cheating and possession of stolen property and those are legitimate concerns but irrelevant ON the field. Not saying irrelevant to the decision to draft him, but have no impact on the field. VY's incredible stupidity and emotional problems impact his play on the field AND off.

I don't recall seeing anything from anyone with even a sliver of credibility (meaning not people on message boards) implying that Cam isn't intelligent enough to read defenses, just that he hasn't had to so far. There's an obvious difference there...

I left my secret decoder ring at home, please decipher...

? what do you think is going to happen in the NFL if he comes to us?

Hell they already are doing that. With our running game already there are usually always 8 guys in the box. Newton would just make that more dangerous. And I love how people on here can predict the future.

"He made all his great throws to wide open receivers" thats the spread bud get used to it. And its not completely true to begin with. Could he bust, sure, will he bust I don't think so. Anything he is lacking in I believe he will work his tail off to improve. He might not ever be a Brady/Manning type passer but I could see him developing just as well if not better then Freeman.

A.) Players with Newton's skill set are even less successful.

Who had Newton's skill set?? Closest I can find at #1 is Mike Vick. He turned out pretty good.

B.) he is not considered a top QB prospect in any other year than this one.

Can you prove that. Seems to me like you are just saying random sh*t that is unquantifiable.

C.) I would say that a 35% chance of success is generous. The odds are he WILL BUST.

Again a perfectly unquantifiable random percentage that means absolutely nothing

D.) In addition to that, Newton does not meet the 26-27-60 rule

You are drooling to get your hands on Kellen Moore then huh?? LOL at people who rely on formulas to evaluate QBs. I'm sure you were prepared to pass on Luck as well; or does this formula only apply when we talk about Newton?

E.) Yes, he has potential and upside. So did the space shuttle that blew up over the coast of Florida 25 years ago. The problems are not on the outside, they are mechanical and internal.

Comparing drafting a football player to a national tragedy is in bad, bad taste. To make it worse the analogy makes no fugging sense.

:nonod:

I imagine there is a lot of things that make no fugging sense to you. It is called a metaphor. Look up the definition. Anybody can argue either side to the equation-breaking down my quote is quite dickish. You have become arrogant with no justification for doing so. Not a redeeming quality.

By the way, just because you are unemployed and comment on every single post do not think that gives you intelligence. I could argue any of these points with you, but everybody on here knows that there is no use arguing with a guy who sports Cam Newton coin purse indentations on his chin.

I apologize. Your metaphor makes no fugging sense. Tell me, how does a space shuttle have potential and upside??

It's funny how many "brilliant minds" are on this thread and other threads complaining about my OP.:incazzato:lol I know Cam is not on roster and therefore it's impossible to be the most dangerous offense. For the overly sensitive geniuses, its more like a what if type of thing or what could be.smh I'll make sure to type nothing but facts when speaking about Cam Newton for the slow ones out there. Where was all this craze when Andrew Luck was proclaimed the next Peyton Manning and the greatest prospect since forever. Didn't he also only have one good season?

The realists were here then too. But, just like now, the blind rabid fanboys are always the loudest ones in the room.

I'm a panther fan no fanboy. If Newton is drafted elsewhere you won't here me say his name again. I support Cam because I think he's a good player and I want us to draft him. If you're not a Tarheel or Panther I'm not a fan. I just felt like daydreaming about how my boys could look in the future and the "haters" just crushed my dream like a bully stepping on TRD's glasses:sad:not cool at all. People act like I just went crazy about Cam and all I did was put a list of the playmakers on offense with a bit of Newton sprinkled on top;).
