Dear Jerry Richardson, Peter Karmanos and Michael Jordan,

I would definitely put the Atlanta Braves and ECU Pirates football in front of NC State football in that original sports order

I'll give you the Braves, they do have a huge following in the region, but ECU Football? :smilielol5::rofl::out: You've got to be effing with me, right?

NC State has the most attendance of any school in the ACC, the largest traveling fanbase in the ACC and the third largest private alumni club in the nation. But yeah, the Butt Pirates are more popular :sosp:

What makes Jordan a POS is his attitude to always be the best at everything he does and his extremely competitive nature. It's why he has that gambling problem in the first place.

Yes, he comes across as a stuck-up, ungrateful, arrogant person (watch his HOF speech.) But without that attitude, he never would have become the greatest basketball player of all time. Kobe is the closest we have come to MJ since then because he has that same tenacity and arrogance, just not on MJ's level.

Does being uber-competitive really make you a "bad" person?

No, but maybe you have to be a bad person to be as "uber-competitive" as Jordan. Plain and simple, he's a jerk. Greatest basketball player ever. Maybe the greatest athlete ever. As a person, he's awful.

Speaking of MLB, didn't we (in greensboro) almost get the Minnesota Twins when they were looking for a place. I don't feel like googling but I believe we had the chance to get them but the city voted against them. What is annoying, if true, is we put a lot of money into building a minor league team stadium down. (which is beautiful btw and where I occasionally spend my thursday nights at.

.

I've met Jordan plenty of times and I have friends that are regular buddies of his through some car dealerships and golf here in SoCal. I don't care how much money he donates to charity to avoid paying taxes, he's a POS. I know he's a local hero in NC but he's a very bad person and most people that have more than one encounter with him don't like him.

I've met Jordan a couple of times as well and know several people that have closer relationships with the guy then some dealership guys and golfers. These are from my basketball playing days. I have also talked to several reporters that have spent some time with him.

To call him a POS doesn't really jive with what I know about the guy.

I will say this you hear different sides of the spectrum about the guy. Some people have really strong feelings that he is an asshole the was TRD does and others feel very strongly he is a great guy.

But the people that I trust and know have spent more time with him than most think pretty highly of him as a person.

Plus if they are friends of yours TRD maybe they are as pleasant as you are as well and that is why Jordan is a d*ck toward them :D

Ummm I'm not sure that's accurate. He has a very close relationship with the owner of the dealership here (he might be a partner) and is always around the family. As for golfers, Michael can't refuse their action and there is nothing better than making a few Gs of Michael on the golf course because his ego and addiction won't let him back down from a bet even though it's clear he's inferior.

It's okay to have a different opinion of him but most people don't like him. I know I'm arguing a losing battle talking to people from NC (Auburn, Alabama in your case) but I just think he's an egotistical asshole that can't step out of the limelight gracefully. He's all about himself and every year that earring gets bigger and the cigars keep going, like he's some sort of boss. He was basically kicked out of the league for his addictions and the company he kept (gangsters, drug dealers, murderers) and he didn't care who he hurt or what the outcomes were. Some argue his father's murder was in response to a gigantic gambling debt.

People can't separate the basketball player from the man. He was a great basketball player but not so much of a man.

As for Kobe, he cheated on his wife but he did not rape her. That happens nearly every day in the NBA and you are foolish if you think Michael didn't do the same. Add in all of Michael's other issues, and it's really not even close.

Michael Jordan Nissan in Durham was an employer of mine for a period of time several years back. SO I think they also might have a pretty tight relationship with him as well.

He also is/was a member and was taking lessons from a golf pro at Washington Duke golf course also in Durham.

Not to mention the numerous sources I have through the channels of being a highly rated basketball player in the state of NC.

And as for your last sentence Kobe didn't rape that girls just like Cam didn't steal that laptop right??

And LOL at your conspiracy theories on MJ and his gambling getting his dad killed. But do you know the guy who allegedly did it if you believe those conspiracy theories and why??

I do. And it is likely bunk.

Again, it's his competitive nature, and it's his money. Why should you care what he does with his money?

It's okay to have a different opinion of him but most people don't like him.

Nice generalization.

He's all about himself and every year that earring gets bigger and the cigars keep going, like he's some sort of boss.

Last time I checked, being an owner of a basketball team makes you the "boss" of that team.

As for Kobe, he cheated on his wife but he did not rape her. That happens nearly every day in the NBA and you are foolish if you think Michael didn't do the same.

So committing adultery on your wife and being involved in a rape case is acceptable, but OMG JORDAN IS A GAMBLING ADDICT! GET HIM OFF THE STREETS! lol

The point was that Kobe got caught cheating on his wife, yes it is terrible, but you are foolish if you think Jordan wasn't also cheating on his wife. It's the way of life in the NBA.

Yes Kobe got caught up in a case but it was clear that he did not rape her once everything started to come out, she was just looking for a payday.

Jordan's gambling went way beyond just being an addict. He put his team, his family, and his livelihood in jeopardy. He'd be out gambling all through the night and into the morning before a championship game, HE GOT KICKED OUT OF THE FUGGING NBA, the people he associated with were worse people than him yet he never showed any remorse and continued to always make it about Mike.

This part is true

This part is actually also probably true. We are doing good!!

This part is 90% false. He didn't get kicked out of the league for gambling. You must be the type of guy that believes George Bush orchestrated 9/11. There are people who are a lot more inside than you that will tell you David Stern was begging the guy not to quit. I'm still not sure where any of that came from.

He won those championship games and did so in a manner that proves Kobe Bryant no matter how many titles he wins will never be taken seriously in a conversation that tries to suggest he is better than Jordan in any way, shape, or form. It is a provable fact.

And again his family likely was not harmed bc of his gambling.
