Source: Peppers has a list of 4 teams he'd play for, 2 in the NFC South

It very well may not happen. My comments stem from the point of view that I do not see us convincing too many people to pay him what they have to to get him out of here after a tag and I see that his list of destinations, his wanting to change positions, his lack of experience at that position, his age, his up and down effectiveness, and his lack of leadership abilities hampering that even further.

Owners nor GMs dont think as much as you. Thats why T.O has always found a home. Some GMs and Owners are willing to give anything for great talent.

I think Peppers is getting some bad advice from his agent. Hell, the Panthers never had this many problems dealing with Rosenhous(sp).

I could be wrong but I think Pep's agent is a longtime associate of his (business mgr or something?) and Pep may be his only client or one of few.

Peppers agent is his best friend. He never would have gotten to play in college if not for him. And yes, Peppers is his only client...

well he did resurge in 08 to our/their credit. And the NFCS names are thrown in their to scare Carolina in to not Franchising because he doesn't want a long drawn out fight over this. He wants out. Let him go!

I still can't believe you are saying we should let him walk with no compensation.....jsut plain stupid.

That is the dumbest business decision (and yes the Panthers are a business) that they could do.

yep, Peppers would've flunked out at unc if not for Carey. When Peppers came in Carey was the Freshman Student relations representative in regard to grades and such. After a while he just ended up being peppers Student relations representative. He ended up handled peppers draft. Screening calls and where peppers ended up training with. Then ended up being peppers Agent.

F peppers, All this was is a pr stunt in attempt to get the panthers to just let him walk. He knows for sure, that we would never trade him to another NFC south team.

Why not trade him to a rival? If he's as overrated and lazy as everyone claims why wouldn't we want to saddle a rival with someone like that? Not to mention the giant cap number he'll command with a new contract. Give them cap issues and a player that only plays half the time, win win situation right?

Exactly!! Give ATL or TB or NO an overrated player for an over inflated salary for very good compensation. Since they are a divisional rivial we should and would jack his going rate up significantly! He would be 35% more expensive to NFC south teams than AFC teams. I would take a TON of compensation from any nfc south team over small AFC compensation any day.
