Source: Peppers has a list of 4 teams he'd play for, 2 in the NFC South

Pep is becoming more and more of a bitch every day...4 teams out of 32 and he has already backed off his "I want to play in a 3-4 scheme" excuse. There is no way in hell that we will trade Pep to the Bucs, Saints, or Falcons...its just not happening. Maybe the source thinks that we don't want to trade them to other NFC contenders b/c of a possible playoff meeting not necessarily the NFCS. Hopefully we can get a deal worked out.

Given that a trade to any of these vague teams sounds less than ideal for the Panthers, it really does seem like Peppers is just trying to encourage the Panthers into not placing the franchise tag on him. It’s also strange that this news would come out after reports that Gross is close to being signed, meaning we couldn’t tag him (I know that was a longshot, but it was still a possibility.

stupid then and stupid now

says you

wa it stupid when Plaxico walked? NY thought so

Was it stupid when Joey Porter walked? Miami thought so

what franchise does big cat idolize?

If a player wants out and has question marks surounding his talent/production ratio. The question ill be answered by Carolina not franchising him and showing the league that he is an overrated side of beef, nothing more.

    • well, the comparison is to last year.  The OL is a 180 degree from that.... and overall on the season they have had better skill talent for the same QBs behind a MUCH better OL.    So yeah, the O not looking any better overall is a red flag for Canales.
    • I just want somebody to settle into that Hangartner role and I may give Mays too much credit. He played so well early and has fell off since injuries crept into his vocabulary.  He was struggling to get push on those goal line runs today.
    • You cannot say it doesn't matter who is playing QB ever in any circumstance. The first two games of the season, Bryce was standing in the pocket with time missing throws left and right. We were running the ball well, but even the gimme throws Canales was setting up, Bryce was missing. Then you start Dalton, boom easy win at Las Vegas. By week four's end, three of our best defenders are seriously injured, center injured, 2nd best veteran WR hurt, and best veteran WR quitting on the team.  Canales is a rookie head coach, and he definitely has had some see what sticks moves. But players are being schemed open, the rookies are progressing nicely, and you have the albatross of some terrible lack of talent to phase out. I give him credit alone for pulling Mingo, Thomas, and going with the better/younger producing players. The scheme is better, he just needs better players and I am not going to write him off until he gets more talent, starting with QB!
