Anyone who says Red Dead Redemption should really take a long look at themselves in a mirror and then try to help others understand what in the world they could want in a video game? Not to mention saying Gears Of War, Mass Effect and Bioshock were Overrated. Sounds to me like you don't like anything but sports games and if that's the case should stick to reviewing them.

I think you are the only person on this entire planet to believe that Gears Of War, Bioshock, Mass Effect and Red Dead Redemption are all equally overrated.

The question was what games were over hyped, not which game syou liked and didn't like. I see a lot of people getting the question confused. Red dead was horrible and the other games show how easy it is to make money.

I am very picky and I don't like many games. The question as what games were over rated but the kind of games I like are not sports games at all, I hate sports games I like GTA, Oblivion, DA origins was OK, Battlefield, some CODs, Halo 3 (even though it was hyped), Civilization revolution, Fallout 3. Those are great games.

It's all about opinion obviously people hold Mass Effect, Read Dead and Gears in high regard, I just don't see it. There seems to be something lacking in each one, they are solid games but not quite great IMO. I hate linear games and lack of content, lack of innovation. Graphics and action scenes won't sell me.

fianl fantasy 7 is a really good game, but i dont think that it deserves to be put on the pedastal that other fans of the series put it on. its a good game, but i think 4 or 5 titles in the series are better.

Oh no you didn't...I would have to disagree with this. No FF has come close to 7, it is the hold grail for RPG lovers (which I disagree, I think CC is) . You have to put it in it's time however, it was pure innovation at the time, an instant classic. Playing it before any of today's crap as long as you can understand this was a 90s game for the PS1, is much better. If you have never played ff7 or Xenogears you are missing some kick ass rpgs games and need to go play them.

If you have never played Chrono Cross however, and are a RPG fan, you need to go buy a ps1 just for that game, it is the best RPG ever made, period.

God I miss the PS1 and all the great RPGs for it. I hate how these long, intensive games have died out, when they just needed someone to re innovate them for consoles today. The content, value and stories where amazing and stayed with you more than a day after beating them.

You can't forget the 13 patches that you would need to download because they didn't catch all the bugs.

That is the thing that bugs me about Fallout, actually... So many bugs... But still, you look past that because it is such a great game...

Sure, I fell for the "GOTY" scam with it too... bought the original game, played it up, then turned it in for a $5 credit towards the GOTY edition for another $45... but even then, I sunk enough time into it to make it worth it...

Hell, I don't even hardly have time for video games now, but when I do, I get my $60 out of my brief time in New Vegas... I doubt I'll get the GOTY when that comes out though...

I don't play a game to get to the end of it as fast as I can... I play it to enjoy it and fully immerse myself into it for a few hours at a time to escape the real world... If Madden would actually do something new, I would have bought it last season to escape the real world Panthers reality...
