We need butts in the seats. Cam could do that. That's all I'm sayin.

You guys remember how loud they were chanting Moore's name when Carr played?

You guys remember how loud they were chanting Jimmy's name when Moore played?

How long do you think the stadium will be filled when he's not playing or he's playing badly?

Winning is all that matters

Unless you meant he is going to sell tickets by actually working the phones or in the ticket booth

His decision was unrelated to us picking #1. He may not have had any particular interest in being a Panther but he certainly wasn't trying to avoid the team, either.

What evidence do you have that he "snubbed" us?

He'd said all along, "I want to finish my degree" and "I want to graduate with my teammates." He was intending to do this all along, but we ALMOST enticed him to come out.

He just didn't turn us down, he turned the entire NFL down.

He said that after the Championship game, get it right. If San Fran had that 1st pick history would have been different. He made that statement after JRs press conference where he said we would use the #1 pick.

Snubbed.

I like to have discussions about Moore. People can have whatever opinion they want about him but when it's not based in facts I like to object. He played great sometimes and played really pooty other times but to define him solely by this season is ignorant.

I've never reached for some statistic to prove Moore will be great or that he will be like Aaron Rodgers. My arguments are usually rooted in facts with opinions thrown in based on those facts.

The Cam fanboys project their opinions of him on everyone and act like it's fact while ignoring all the negative. They fall back on college like it means something in terms of the NFL and I use NFL stats for Moore to back up my arguments. There really is no comparison.

FALSE!!! Yo have used 4 of 5 games at the end of 2009 to claim Moore is the true GOAT. You happily throw those stats out there to prove he is a good QB but when people reach for stats from Cam's last 6 games you get all stupid on them.

Like this:

Only one person in the top 15 had a better YPC and that was Rivers at 12.8 so does that change your opinion?

Manning was at 11.2

Brady was at 11.3

Breez was at 11.5

Or:

TB: Moore 14/20 161 yds 8 YPA 1 Int (First start in more than a year)

Stew: 120 on 26 carries, Sutton: 38 on 6 Total: 158 on 32

Fox took the game out of Moore's hands and leaned heavily on the run

NE: Moore:15/30 197 yds 6.5 YPA 1 TD 0 Int

Williams: 82 on 13, Stew: 29 on 7 Total: 111 on 20

Cold, snowy day in NE where his accuracy was off early. Defense couldn't stop Welker

MIN: Moore: 21/33 299 yds 9 YPA 3 TD 0 Int

Stew: 109 on 25 Williams: 13 on 6 Total: 124 on 31

Moore's best game to this point and just an average day from the RBs

NYG: Moore: 15/20 (75%) 171 yds 8.5 YPA 3 TD 0 Int

Stew: 206 on 28, Hoover: 37 on 9 Total: 243 on 37

While Moore didn't have to do much, he completed a high percentage of his passes and got the ball in the endzone, even got Moose his lone TD of the year

NO: Moore: 14/23 162 yds 7 YPA 1 TD 0 Int

Stew: 125 on 16, Goodson: 44 on 14 Total: 169 on 30

Against NO backups, it was a very boring game called by Fox, but Moore still did his job and even managed to get Jarrett a TD

Summary for 5 games:

Moore: 79/126 (62%) 990 yds 7.9 YPA 8 TDs 1 Int

RBS: 805 on 150

LOL. Completely ignoring any game before or after those 5. Ignoring entire halves that he played and any preseason information.

I've used all of his starts in the NFL to talk about him and form my opinion. I thought he played very well at the end of 2007 as well as at the end of 2009.

He didn't play well at all in 2010 but it wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. He played a terrible half in NY but didn't get helped out at all by playcalling (3 straight passing plays out of shotgun from the 3 yard line when our run game is our bread and butter) and him pressing to make plays, played subpar in Tampa but still had the team in a position to compete before being pulled prematurely plus he had a concussion mixed in and was one of only a few players in the NFL to start the week after getting a concussion. His next start he played very well. He had one boneheaded play but other than that put up over 300 yards and 2 TDs with no help from the running game. I thought he played okay in Stl but was the victim of some bad play calls and Smitty giving up on a play and his multiple big drops in that game. The next week he got hurt in the first quarter and was done for the season.

People forget our team was built to run the football and when that didn't happen it put a lot of strain on the offense.

You have to take the stats then look at things that can't be quantified to form an opinion. I think based on his total body of work with consideration for the team around him in all three seasons he is still a viable option at the QB position.

I've never said he was the GOAT and would be happy getting someone who I think is better than him to play the QB position.

Well the argument at hand was based on that season alone. Taking things out of context only makes you look foolish. A poster said he only played well during that stretch because the running game averaged over 200 yards per game, which wasn't the case.

Then you came in and said that he didn't have a good YPC because he couldn't throw the intermediate pass during that stretch and I showed that he had a very very good YPC.

Now you have no basis for your latest assumption so you look back to a completely different discussion and pull stats out of context to back this up.

Keep trying sir.

Does anyone else see a problem when a guy joins the forum in Jan and already has over 2500 posts, and almost every one of them is about Newton? Teeray=Cecil??

If we stay at #1 Newton would be my pick but I would be much more comfortable if we could trade down. So I guess yes.
