Seems like the safest place to arrive would be in America. I wouldnt do anything to rule the people but would try to live with a tribe. Proabaly would kill them off in a few years though by giving them diseases.

Also if you did land in the civilized the best thing you would have is knowledge of the world geography..

i woke up with a belt buckle. chances are if i woke up in 1500 bc, i was NOT in my own bed. so umm, it's also a good chance it was a little chilly. common, practical sense thing to do is get warm and avoid hypotermia.
