I don't believe anything I hear or read before draft time. They are all a bunch of liars.

I think I'm just getting a little frustrated with the wait for some good football news.

I know what you are saying. And you are probably right. BUT the dynamic is a little different when you are picking #1 overall.

Clearly they are not going to just say "Hey this is who we are picking!!" but also the need to be deceptive is much lower when you are picking #1 than if you are picking #10.

I think I heard a lot of analysts and draft gurus tell their audiences not to believe anything they hear or read before draft time. Now I don't know what to believe.

that makes no sense...if he came out and said we are open to trading down and will field offers, then that could give you hope...he's saying we have to find a QB...doesn't mean they will draft one but it doesn't mean he's not gonna take one

Your career is obviously not in sales.

if you want to sell something, how do you get the most value?

By saying you just "have" to sell this thing right away?

OR, do you let everyone know what a great thing it is and have valuable it is to you?

what the hell are you talking about? we aren't talking about fuggin merchandise...if he says we need to find a QB, he probably means we need to find a QB...it's like if i said to you i want a PB&J, you would probably say "he says he wants a PB&J but i think he really wants a turkey sandwich"

i just don't understand how him saying we need to find a QB means we are gonna trade down which is what you implied

Exactly a smokescreen is possible but to hear some of the smokescreen comments you would think we aren't seriously considering addressing that need.

some on here so desperately don't want us to take a QB that if hurney came out and said "we are gonna take cam newton," they still wouldn't believe him...they think everything is a smokescreen that we don't seriously have interest in a QB...hurney has been talking about the need to find a QB since the season ended...since before the newton media train got going

How many years have you been interested in the draft? You seem a bit new to the whole process. You cannot believe a word any GM says in the month of April each year.....even if he said he wanted a PB&J

when you have handful of players you like, biggest need comes into play...says when you talk to people about players, opinions are different(duh!)...he thinks it's silly when people say there's no sam bradford or matt ryan b/c at the time those players had questions about them too...

Man thats a big statement in Newton's favor..especially after he's already said QB is the biggest need

1. The guy is intense when he talks about football really loves the game.

2. Well spoken guy made minimal grammatical errors when speaking about his ideas or during play analysis.

3. Knew the keys to leadership were leading by example and he felt no entitlement because he was the starting QB. He was the leader of that offense.

We lack aggression at the QB position. Everybody else at key positions are hungry and aggressive but our QB's last year were quite passive and lacked the fight that even Jake Delhomme had. MM wasn't tough enough and JC was scared. Change.

They showed Gruden Camp with Cam today? Or is this with Hurney..confused lol

lol Just throwing it out there...:p

Not much to do with Hurney but more to do with character and leadership on the football field.

You pass on QB and this guy becomes what most people think he is going to be and you really look stupid. Cam Newton has proven people wrong all along the way and he has proven himself to be quite a force. It is what it is.

50% chance of Hurney looking like a genius.
