I think we can wait till next year to pick up a blue chip WR even if smith leaves. Lets face it we aren't winning the Superbowl next year with any WR.

DE This position is so heavily influenced by the Lack of a penetrating DT that we really don't know what we have in Brown yet. He gets around the edge well but no one is pushing the QB back there to him. Hardy showed flashes and got invaluable playing time.

I don't see any way we let CJ or Anderson walk. We have the cap space to pay them and Anderson didn't play so well that he is getting top notch offers in FA. I also saw flashes from some backup LB's late last year. Whatever that guy was we traded for Harris looked good before his injury.

OL I think we can pick up some high ceiling raw talent late in the draft and coach em up.

The bathroom lines usually aren't too bad! Halftime normally consists of about 5 minutes waiting in the bathroom line.....then 20 waiting in the food line for Super Bowl Beef Nachos.

What is all this talk about getting rid of Gross? You do realize we JUST signed him to a huge extension, right? He's not "old" either; OL can play well into their 30's. The Packers just won the Super Bowl with a pair of OT's around the 35-range. Gross has - minimum - another 5 years left in him.

We do need depth at RT for Otah in case his injuries flare up again, but for now just depth. If he can ever get back to square one again without any injuries I think he'll be fine. The lockout may be a blessing in disguise in that department, TBH. If it does push the start of the season off, it'll give him some extra time to heal up.

lol you're obviously not a smoker. I'm a recent quitter after 11 years (cigarettes are $15 or more a pack out here in Australia: can't afford it, especially when the best they got is Kools anyway, couldn't find Newports anywhere!) and going 3 hours is like going an eternity. They should fix it at BoA by just giving hand stamps or something like at a club so you can step out and smoke and come back in or something. Or at least make a smoking lounge like at an airport or something. People will continue to find some way to sneak a smoke if they're going to ban smoking all over the stadium. Come on JR it's Tobacco Country! You can't ban smoking in NC!!

I think you're forgetting the huge hole we had at right guard last year. I'd rank guard as a need higher than all of those you listed.

CB and DT (assuming we do not draft Darius and PP) with our 3rd rd picks OL with our 4th Beyond that its best availible maybe a kicker with the 6th. I do not know the status of Otah but I am assuming he will be back and Brown can return him to his old form.If Otah is questionible we will need a tackle and guard.

My sense is that we will lose marshall to FA so we are will need a quality corner that can come in and start and we certainly need a DT that can start on the DL.We also have the imediate need for a right guard.Not sure that we can fill 3 starting positions in the draft.If the CBA lockout continues the chances are we will not have many rookies that will be able to contribute next year.

BTW why does everyone trash this thread even though its been posted over 6 weeks ago when its perfectly fine to post 10 Cam Newton threads a day? Building the team is much more than who we choose with our 1st pick.
