In fairness, Chandler has had the scoop on other stories. There was one a while back (forget which) where he was way ahead of Gantt and Reed.

Overall, I agree the Observer coverage needs work, but Chandler's been pretty good.

Gross has the Panthers by the short hairs. Should have tried harder last year to get the deal done.....easy to see this coming. so now, got to pay. Don't need to rebuild the Oline while rebuilding the Dline.

I believe they tried hard to get a deal done last offseason. However, Gross knew he was moving to LT and wanted premier LT money. The panthers were trying to get a deal done with RT money.

I don't blame the Panthers.....definitely did not want to pay premier LT money if they guy could not get it done at LT.

I don't blame Gross....he definitely had nothing to lose by waiting. If he shined at LT, he got paid. If he did not, he was already a proven commodity at RT and would have been paid for that position.

Seriously, just give the man what he wants. I don't know why its taking so long, but I wish I did. I don't think this whole process should have taken half this long. But who knows why it's been like this. Like pretty much everyone else, I just hope we can sign him long-term, and franchise Julius.
