Our best potential trading partner?

I think Buffalo would be idea because we could still get a top QB, Dareus, Peterson, or Green. Win Win.

I kind of like the Belichick approach. Trade down to Cincy, Then trade down again another 3 spots if you can and rack up. then use those later rounds to combine and get back into the second.

I hate Bill Belichick but I love watching him work the draft. This year they have 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks and 2 third round picks. They are one of the best teams in the league and we were the worst and they have 6 picks to our 2 in the first 3 rounds!

I think it's going to be very difficult to trade down without a CBA in place. Without the CBA, teams are up in the air about who they could get via FA, and players can't be included in any deal. Even if you could trade the rights, they couldn't, for example, talk to someone like Carson Palmer about re-negotiating.

So with it being only straight draft picks, it will be hard for another team to give us enough value to move down. Yes, you could consider taking 2012 picks, but that is really risky at this point.

I know everyone is already aware of these factors, but there seems to be a bit of denial of how big an impact this CBA situation has on draft day deals.

So how about trading down twice? Say to #2, then #8,9 or 12? We could still get J. Jones, C. Jordan, Fairley,Amukumara,Pouncey- a solid starter, plus multiple extra early picks and possibly a 2012 #1. I'd take that as a new coach and build young depth while reducing risk of busts in a so-so draft.

Just say no to trading down past #5. Assuming the partner is trading up for QB1, going as far as #5 still leaves us with a top talent: Dareus, Green, Peterson, or QB2. Anything other than one of those 4 and I'll consider it a fail unless it was a HUGE deal for us including no less than 2nd this year and a 1st or 2nd next year.

these magically trades are just sad. realistically the lowest draft pick i think we can pick up is 7th and that would cost the other team at least next years 1st, this years 1st, a second and a third... i cant see a team paying much more than that..
