yea its predetermined in advanced. It's 57.5 percent of total revenue.Its around 123 million, with each club having another 16 million in player benefits. Other note is that the players are protected under hard economic times, the cap can not decrease from year to year. So after this season if the cap is renewed the lowest the number could be would be 123 million for the following season and wouldn't decrease, the only possibility for the cap movement wise is to go up or stay the same no matter the circumstances the league is in.

Also with those talking about next year being uncapped, it's probably not going to happen. 2007 was also supposed to be uncapped and that never happened.

I'm confused by the math up above. He's obviously stupid though. -23+10 = -13....i think is what you meant. I wouldn't worry about it though, we guaranteed Gambles 10 million roster bonus, so really its more like this.

17 million = current cap space.

23 what it takes to sign gross and peppers

-23 + 17 = -6

Cutting Lucas = +3.3 to cap

cutting Hackett = +1.3 to the cap

Cutting Johnson = +1.6 to the cap

That equals 6.2 million to the cap

which puts us just under that cap number by around 200 thousand.

Trade peppers and we have 17 million in cap space to spend on FA and draft picks.

no, no, no. Once we Offer him the deal it goes on the books till either one of three things happen,(A) he doesn't sign it and after the 10th game it gets removed,( he gets traded or ©we rescind the tag contract offer.

Maybe just Hackett could stay around, he's decent when he doesnt get injured. At least until D. Jarret can prove himself unless they try for another mid-level WR in FA or the draft.
