What is with the phrase anti-Cam loverers?

Do you people actually think that people think like that? Do you not think there are real concerns surrounding if he is worthy of the number 1 pick?

It would be a pretty easy pick if the criteria is based on his gift as an athelete and his arm strengh.A franchise QB has to be more than that.It is the intangibles that cloud the waters not race or anything else as far as I am concerned.

Can he be coached? Can he start making multiple reads versus relying on his running ability? Can he sit on the sidelines a year and soak it up like a sponge? Will he spend hours watching films and is able to accept construtive critisism?

If the answer is yes then I say bring him in as the first pick.

I do have questions/concerns about Cam. I do admit there is a high level of risk involved with taking him. I just feel his potential is so high that it's worth the risk. And I also think we need to address QB badly enough that if there's someone there at QB with star potential - which I believe Cam has - then we have to use this pick on that player.

We're not selecting Cam with the #1 overall. It just isn't going to happen. This pick is far to valuable to take on such a risk. We will select Dareus, give Clausen a chance to comptete with a possible veteran we bring in in the new offensive scheme and look for a QB in a later round or address it with a future draft.

It is drama free, and simple.

Is there some kind of deal that can be struck here to have all the anti-Cam posters film their reactions when the pick is announced and post them? I'd honestly pay good money to see that.

Started with the whole huggers sh1t...Do you not think there are some people that like his skill set and star potential? that think QB is the most important position in football today that we have to address to keep up in our division. Are terrified to go into the season with Moore, Clausen and Pike again.

Every realistic number 1 draft prospect has question marks or would be considered reaching imo. Only ones that don't are Green and PP7 who are beast as I've stated but we just have bigger needs.

They ant-Cam people are the Haters and thr pro-Cam guys are the Huggers.

I this his negatives are overblown and I don't think he is the major project people make him out to be. A lot of the one read and run stuff is from early in the season as he was becoming more comfortable with the offense. Remember TRD and others said whay he did at Blinn doesn't matter because, as on Hater put it, JUCO ix less than even high school football. If that is true you have a guy tnat is essentially a true freshman in terms of preparedness. As the season progressed and he was more comfortable in the offense he really mainly dominated from the pocket and often times went through 3-4 reads (well maybe 2-3).

So you have a guy that dominated the SEC in a way that no one has done in a while, as essentially a true freshman.

WOW!!! The more you Haters make me think about it the more I buy into him.

Please go watch the games before you say that the one read and run was an early season issue. It was the offense that he ran. He NEVER made multiple reads. Not necessarily because he can't...but because that was the offense he was asked to run.

My questions about this issue are there because there just isn't tape to see the guy doing it. I hope that the coaching staff (Rivera, Shula, etc) put Cam (and all QB's that we are looking at) through the ringer on this. Show him tape of certain situations and plays from the past years....and ask him to quickly (real time) make reads.

This, and only this, could come close to answering these types of questions.

I have watched every game and since it has begun to look like we might take him I have watched most of them twice now. It is bullpoo. Not saying there wasn't some of that but on passing plays that were called he actually rarely ran. So his first read most have been open 90% of the time.

His running stats are mainly from designed runs. Not from him bailing on a pass play or not being patient.
