PFW: Carolina seeks second-round pick By Nolan Nawrocki

"our random article speculating on who the Panthers will draft, citing an unnamed NFL exec is more credible than your random article speculating on who the Panthers will draft citing an unnamed exec!"

you guys pick and choose who is credible by if he agrees with drafting Cam. I can't act like it doesn't go both ways(ie those against Cam are very skeptical when someone says they have inside info we're drafting him), but COME ON.

EVERYTHING SAID BEFORE APRIL 28TH IS PURE fugING SPECULATION. There is no inside info that is 100% credible. There is absolutely no way an experienced NFL GM such as Hurney would let anyone know his draft day plans because it would put us at a huge disadvantage.

Simple as that.

I think you are speculating on who is speculating. I mean unless Hurney told you he didn't tell someone who we are going to take you can't know for sure that a reporter is speculating or if he has legitimate sources. Therefore it is speculation on your part that any reporter is speculating.

Speculating. :p. :p. :p

There is a lot of speculation. but,I think nolan doesn't know what he's talking about because he hasn't talked to hurney. That alone mute's this article. also the fact that moon came out and said rivera is impressed with cam and all but desided on him leads me to believe something else, It could be a smokescreen but, it seems to me that someone would have came out and said moon is a f*cking liar just like when Nawrocki first started this circus. I haven't seen anyone saying it isn't true so... i'll take the majorities opinion above some crackpot who makes it up as he goes along.

Marty does not like taking quarterbacks in the first round out of principle — there is too much boom or bust.

It's driving me crazy that people keep using this as "evidence" that the Panthers would never consider taking a QB at #1. We all know Luck would have been Carolina's pick had he decided to come out, and news flash, dude's a quarterback.

Haha man, I'd die laughing if Narwocki's source is actually Hurney and he's just fuging with fans and media now.

How else to convince the entire fuging world you love a guy than to defend him on the radio?

I doubt it's happening, but if it is, I'd tip my hat (if I wore one) to Hurney. Sneaky bastard.

Plus if Cam becomes great he is the type of QB that could put a coach in the hall of fame too. So keep that in mind.

Huh?

If a QB is great then this is the reason he will likely put a coach in the hall of fame. Not which type of QB he is.

Lost in the Cam debate, what was this guy saying about Dareus?

Quote:

"Of the three prospects, Dareus' lack of support structure makes him the riskiest selection"

Anyone have a clue what he is saying?

Check out his past. Does he come from a stable family? Does he have relatives around him now? If he's on his own, he has no one to help him in his future life meaning he's likely to stray off path.

Is he close with coaches at Alabama?

Does he have an entourage of 50+?

Could be wrong, but that's what support structure means to me

Father died when he was 8.

Nearly lost his mother shortly after

Lived with a surrogate family.

Combine that with the agent thing and you might think he's easily influenced or distracted. Compared to Dan Wilkinson and Darrell Russell. Just needs to structure in his life and some guidance.
