Which QB would you compare Cam Newton to?

Cunningham was never taught to read defenses til he got to Minnesota..Wasn't his fault that's just the way the Eagles wanted him..I would have to think the Panthers would do differently.

They're both tall, extremely athletic, deceptively fast with long strides, illusive, powerful, don't go down easily, cannon arm.

It's a damn shame too. Buddy Ryan screwed that one up pretty good. Cunningham became a pretty darn good passer when the Vikings gave him a chance and he probably could have won a Superbowl with a little bit better team around him.

I have to admit though, I was a Redskins fan when Cunningham was with the Eagles, so I hated him at the time.

LOL at this comparison. I recently watched that movie again for the 500th time. If we chose Cam, I hope he comes here with a chip on his shoulder ready to prove himself at a pro level. As stated before, how great or bad he will be ultimately on him. I want a Kobe attitude in him, when Kobe came into the league (nba). He wasn't looking all that great but he worked hard, studied and look at him now. That would be exciting to see charlotte get a player like him that blossoms to be a hall of famer. Yeah, I am getting too far ahead but with my recent plans to move to charlotte, this will be an exciting time.

But back to who I think he compares to, umm, maybe a Ben-Vick-Mcnabb hybrid lol. Ok I cheated but I really hope he comes into his own. I just hope that we make the right decision. I would hate to pass up on us and someone else gets him, then watch him torture us for years. Good post btw.
