Do you want a team name change?

I like the Cat theme because it shows a togetherness and somewhat thoughtfulness that both profesional teams in Charlotte are Cats. However, the Bobcat was chosed based off the previous owner. So if we changed the name, I would like to go back to the ABA days and bring back the Carolina Cougars. However, they would need a new logo they could not use the old one at all, it was terrible. Maybe something like this...

I've been sittin through 7.5 hours of class (tuesdays/thursdays suck) and to pass the time I made some very generic, basic, paint program level designs of what a "Charlotte Flight" logo would look like..just for fun. The first is using the current bobcats colors, as close as i could get them. The second is a different idea I had. Take NC State Red, Duke Blue and Carolina Blue and incorporate them into the pro team of the carolinas. Take the rich college tradition and infuse some of that passion into the NBA team.

I know this may step on some toes of UNCC, UNCW, UNCA, UNCG, Davidson, Wake Forest, Clemson, South Carolina, CofC, etc fans, but lets be honest. The three most successful programs have been the triangle members.

Any thoughts? Just having some fun.

I love the idea of incorporating the three school colors, but I'm not a fan of the Flight name or the incorporation of the Jordan logo.

This is really rough and not the colors I would want but just the idea I was thinking similar to JR4PRES. Of course where it says Jordan Brand that would be Charlotte and Classic would be Flight.

Im not a huge fan of using the jordan brand logo, but it was def easier to incorporate for this discussion than finding a cartoon style military plane. I'm sure it would be tough for NIKE to part ways with jordan brand.

Im not sold on flight either. what if we just changed the colors to the three schools colors. This is just an idea, but this is one of the combos that looked good.

IDK, i just feel like the logo's the design teams came up with were lame..and i feel that my logo is a lil more creative and i don't have any of the resources they do. idk maybe mine sucks. ha

Just a question, people use to complain about Bob and the rumor that it was Bob('s)cats? Why would people not get made if Jordan then incorporated his/nike's logo into the team? Double standard? (not supporting Bob or Jordan but eh?)
